The property was beautiful. Did not use the hot tub. But the pool was beautiful! Enjoyed our stay!

The property has potential but needs to be remodeled. The house smelled like mold. The hot tub didn't work and needed cleaning. The outside of the house needs to some attention as well.

Comfortable home in Melbourne
This property was a last minute booking as our original was cancelled by the host for water damage and this property accommodated our group. The home is in a good area with very comfortable beds and good working appliances and there is a hot tub and a pool. The home is not on the beach however nor is there an ocean view. I would ask for more photos of the home.
Disappointing Stay – Not Family Friendly. It is absolutely not equipped for a comfortable multi-day family vacation stay. Our experience was severely impacted by several significant issues: * Poor Amenities: The pool and surrounding area suffer from a total lack of upkeep. It was far from the relaxing oasis pictured; instead, it felt neglected and uninviting. * Safety & Layout: We noticed some very questionable wiring and construction that made us uneasy. The interior is dark with almost no natural light, and the floor plan is incredibly choppy and awkward. * Cramped Quarters: The kitchen is tiny—virtually impossible to use if you’re trying to prep meals for a full family. * Robotic Communication: Dealing with the host was the most frustrating part. Every time we reached out regarding the pool issues or discussed compensation for the subpar conditions, the responses felt like automated scripts. There was zero personal touch or willingness to compensate us for the amount we thought was sufficient for the inconveniences we experienced.
We rented a 3-bedroom, 2-bath home on Thomas Barbour Drive in Melbourne, Florida through VRBO for a 4-night February 2026 stay to celebrate my husband’s milestone birthday with our family. The layout suited our needs and the home was spacious, but the listing was misleading: it is not beachfront, has no ocean view, and the advertised king bed was actually a queen. While the owner/property manager was responsive and courteous, several issues noted in prior reviews on another site remained unresolved. The hot tub repeatedly tripped the breaker after a few minutes of use, and linens were insufficient—no hand towels, minimal bath towels, and no kitchen towel.A significant electrical problem left the front bedroom without power the first night and the ceiling fan pull gave a mild shock; the owner restored power but advised not using the fixture. The master toilet was loose and only temporarily stabilized during the visit. Supplies such as toilet paper and trash bags were inadequate, and clearer thermostat instructions would help. Safety upgrades like shower grab bars are recommended.Overall, the home comfortably fit our group. The owner provided excellent response, doing his best to help, but the property needs maintenance, better stocking, and more accurate marketing. With updates and attention to detail, it has strong potential to be an excellent rental.
