About the host
Hosted by Kathy Pflederer
Hi, my husband and I have been married for more than 40 years and have found that relaxed time in beautiful places alone and with friends refreshes our souls and creates shared memories that are life-giving. When we discovered Eagle Rock Cabin some years ago, we found it to be such a place. We’ve been sharing it for the last several years, and those that stay consistently tell us that they’ve found the same… we’d be delighted if you did as well.
Why they chose this property
Our cabin is perched on a rock surrounded by forest and overlooking a sprawling valley – all of which you can take in from the couch by the blazing woodstove or while lounging on the wrap around deck. There are 10 acres of meadow, woods, and pine forest with walking paths throughout. Within a mile are trout streams the Driftless is known for and a little further are public hunting grounds. If you’re into pickleball, bowling, outdoor movies, and more, you’ll find it all within a half hour drive.
What makes this property unique
Eagle Rock Cabin is cozy enough to set the tone for an intimate couple getaway as well as being able to comfortably accommodate a group of 6 to 8 who enjoy sharing space. Each bedroom offers privacy and there are also two separate living spaces in which you can enjoy different activities. The serenity is pervasive with an abundance of windows looking out over a tucked-away Driftless landscape. The loft bedroom has a King bed, the main floor has a Queen bed and the lower level has 2 twins. There is also a shorter pull out Queen sofa on the lower level.
