Very clean property. View from the deck, both levels, is fantastic. Excellent communication as well. Want to see bears? You get that too. Even saw a mama bear and cub as we were leaving.

The house was very clean, everything in kitchen you would need for cooking! Games pool table, hot tub. kept us entertained. The trip wasn’t long enough and would absolutely book again, amazing views.
We loved our stay here! Great views and great location. The main strip was about a 10 minute drive with paid parking at the bottom of the hill, which makes it easy to get in and out. The kids and I had a blast watching college football and playing pool in the game room. Lastly, the hot tub was amazing after a long day of hiking or walking the strip. Highly recommend and will definitely stay here again.

I don’t typically leave negative reviews, but I think our complaints should be highlighted for future guests to consider. The lack of communication was probably the most disappointing. The messages we did receive appeared to be automated, and we reached out to the host on three separate occasions without receiving a response. The cleanliness of the property was also a significant concern. When we arrived, the house had a closed-up, musty smell and needed to be aired out. There was visible mildew and grime in the shower, along with quite a bit of dust and cobwebs throughout the property. There were so many cobwebs around the decks that we actually used a broom to clear many of them ourselves so we could comfortably sit outside and enjoy the view.I also think the listing could be more accurate. The property is described as a “cabin,” but it is really a house, and we felt the photos gave a somewhat different impression of the property than what we experienced in person. On the positive side, the views are beautiful and were definitely the highlight of our stay. We probably could have overlooked some of the other differences between the listing and the actual property had the home been clean, fresh, and well maintained upon arrival.Again, I don’t take leaving a negative review lightly, but between the cleanliness issues and the lack of response from the host, our experience unfortunately did not meet our expectations.
The cabin was as pictured. Everything was very nice and well equipped. Maintained very well. Only a very short drive down the hills to Gatlinburg. Would definitely stay here again.
Great views, very clean and close to everything in Gatlinburg. Didn’t realize that check in was exactly at 4:00 so we were unable to get in when we arrived at 3:30. Make sure you have a cooler for your groceries if you arrive to early or your ice cream will melt. We still managed and had a great time!
The Bear Den Retreat was amazing. We still can not believe we saw bears every day! I kept noticing how many cabins did not have our amazing view, I would go back for that alone. Check in was easy, the cabin was clean and ready for our week vacation as a family! I loved waking up every morning and drinking my coffee looking for bears and at the Rocky Mountains. The roads were winding and steep at times, but the flat parking was perfect and our mini van did great! We loved the community pools and our own game room with the video games and pool table was awesome! We also loved the hot tub on the deck as well, perfect ending for our non stop days! It was close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and the Smoky National Park. Overall amazing stay that I would highly recommend!
We stayed here for a girls weekend away. Everything was great. The property was as described. Parking was nice and flat. The house was clean. We had many guests (bears). Follow the warnings about never leaving food in the car and locking the doors. Overall this was a wonderful getaway.
