Metres from Lake Taupo, this lovely fully fenced property is family and dog friendly. Waitahanui is quiet and relaxing, just 5 mins from Taupo airport. Lake views from the master bedroom, office and living room/patio. Take your wine to the lake, sit and enjoy stunning sunsets. Dogs can walk on the beach off the lead. Swim in the lake, fly fish at the river a few minutes walk away or just read and relax. 3 bedrooms (king/queen/bunks), heat pumps in all rooms, Starlink wifi, new fully equiped kitchen, 2 bathrooms (one with a bathtub), plenty of board games, books to read or watch movies on the new 50 inch SmartTV.
Full laundry (washer & dryer). Office nook with standing desk and a gorgeous view of the lake (might be a bit hard to get any work done!)
Supermarket & cafe 8 mins drive. Mini golf, kids entertainment, cafe, bar & restaurant 5 mins drive. 12 mins to Taupo MotorSport Park.

Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Turn everything off (except wifi & fridge)
Close all windows. Put cushions for outside furniture in office.
Stack outside chairs & tuck into corner with table.
Cover bbq & use bungee cords tosecure
Empty recycling into bins at the back.
Empty compost bin into black compost bin in the back garden and rinse the compost bin.
Take yellow rubbish bags out of bin, tie up and leave at the back door.
Pick up dog poop & put in yellow bag outside.
Turn off heat pumps
Towels in the laundry
Games & books returned
Outside taps/hoses off
Lock back door & put key in lockbox.
Leave gate closed

We live in Tauranga and have owned our house in Taupo for 20 years. Until recently my parents lived in the house. They now live in Tauranga with us. We have spent the last 10 months renovating Kereru Cottage. Its now a lovely, relaxed, family friendly holiday house. We love relaxing on the porch with a gin and tonic (from the local 5Mile Distillery) while watching a stunning sunset. We love the very short walk to the lake for a swim and walking our dog off the lkead along the lake shore.
