Our group came to celebrate a 50th birthday in early June. The house is amazing, with everything you could need, and Sylvia was so responsive when we had questions. We had a wonderful stay!
We had an awesome stay at the Old Greenwood. The house was beautiful and perfect for our group . The location was excellent as well. Would definitely like to stay again.
This is our second time coming back to Sylvia's place. For a large group, you cannot beat this place and all the amenities and luxuries that come with it.
Sylvia, the hostess, was very responsive leading up to and throughout our stay. The house itself was very spacious with built in speaker systems in all communal areas which made for a pleasant stay. Would highly recommend this property to all.
Our group had 8 adults and 9 kids ranging in age from 5 - 15. The multiple bedrooms and separation of space was perfect for our group size and dynamic. The owner was responsive, the location was convenient, and we overall had a great stay.
We were a group of 13 amongst 3 families. The house was as advertised. Very nice inside. Great location close to the freeway with many amenities in the area. Would highly recommend. Communication with the host was great.
You cannot go wrong with this home and location! We had a family reunion with four families, 8 adults and 9 kids, ages 12mo - 8y. This house was spacious enough for everyone to be comfortable. Check in process was flawless and communication with the owner was prompt and professional. The game room was a huge highlight for everyone in the family. The fire pit and hot tub were moments of connection. And the access to the Club Pavilion was a cherry on top that we used everyday. We also stayed there during the PGA golf tournament and enjoyed getting front row seats to it!! Do not hesitate to book this home. Greenwood is an amazing location close to so many wonderful Tahoe sites. We’re already considering booking this again next year.

Phenomenal! Especially for a big group!
Can’t say enough about this home. Easily accomdated our group of 16 guys and was laid out in a way where we never felt on top of each other. The outdoor space is great with insane views and room to hang by fire pit, play corn hole, hang in hot tub and throw a serious BBQ. Will absolutely be back.
Wonder home, location, communication with Sylvia (Manager). Couple of small hicups on vacuum no functionaning and door locks not easy to lock/unlock. Overall a wonderful experience and hinghly recommend it. :)
Beautiful house in a great location hands down. Although it seems there is a lack of maintenance on the house for the price. I disconnected two smoke detectors that were chirping, which is not a big deal, but we also had a problem with the guesthouse toilet running all night, and not completely flushing the bowl clean. I reached out to the owner, and they suggested jiggling the chain. When I explained that we tried that every time it was flushed, and the bowl was still full of waste, the owner went silent for the rest of our stay. My sister and brother in law left a day early because they didn’t want to deal with the toilet any longer. It is an amazing house, that needs management to maintain, and accept some responsibility for keeping it in the advertised condition, rather than just cashing in on rental income.
Our family enjoyed this house tremendously! The location at the end of the cul-de-sac was private and the views gorgeous. The kitchen is well-stocked with plenty of plates, bowls, pots/pans, etc. (though lacking wine glasses). We enjoyed morning coffee and afternoon cocktails on the back patio. The large fire pit was a nice perk too!
The "library" with the sofa bed is a small room off of the living room. No space to hang clothes and no luggage rack for your suitcase. It shares the fireplace with the living room, so you can see through the fireplace into the library/bedroom from the living room sofa. Also, the nearest bathroom from library is the powder room across the house. This is not an ideal space when guests need privacy or make frequent trips during the night to the bathroom. We switched some folks around and certainly made it work, but thought it's worth mentioning for those who like to plan room assignments ahead of time.
The man cave was a big hit.... Sylvia was super responsive and very easy to work with. This home did not disappoint!

Beyoncé would stay here.....
Your vacation begins the moment you arrive at this grandiose cabin straight out of an episode of MTV cribs tucked into a beautiful forest with towering trees and a magnificent gold course. Inside, the home features everything you need to call this your temporary home, including a fully equipped kitchen, in-unit laundry machines, and wireless internet access, so you can easily keep in touch with friends and family back at home. Stay entertained during your downtime by watching your favorite movie on the TV in the cabin's living area, or enjoy the variety of available board games and puzzles in the loft. During the warmer months, you'll love relaxing outside on the cabin's spacious backyard while grilling up a delicious dinner on the propane grill or taking a dip in the giant hot 🛀 tub with neon lights. When you're ready to get some sleep, cozy beds await in each room so you can rest up for the next exciting day! This place is over the top gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous. The teenagers are still talking about it......(that's gotta mean something)...lol.
Whether you're up early to embark on an early morning hike or to sip a freshly brewed cup of coffee on the balcony taking in the sounds of the forest, you'll look forward to every morning at this marvelous cabin! Spend your days partaking in the many outstanding outdoor recreation opportunities, like biking, skiing, and fishing! After an exciting day, you'll appreciate being able to retreat to the cozy home to shower off and freshen up for the night. For dinner, dine out at one of the local restaurants or prepare your own delicious meal in the fully equipped kitchen! End your evenings out on the patio gazing up at the sparkling stars, or gathered around the stone fireplace in the living area to stay warm during cold nights.

About the host

We have made great memories in our home over the years w/ large groups of friends and family. We are a large Greek family who own restaurants in the Bay Area. Hospitality & cooking are our specialty. Our kitchen is well stocked and our home is full of creature comforts. We want our guests to enjoy a luxurious experience in the type of construction you just don't see being built anymore.
Why they chose this property
We love to entertain, golf & ski. This is a truly comfortable home for multiple families. It has a highly desirable & functional floor plan that allows privacy for all. There are plenty of ways to entertain the family in the man cave & the yard. Situated on the 17th hole, you can enjoy serene views of the golf course & Northstar. The Alpenglo in the evenings is magical. The property is very safe for families with young children as it is flat. You can bike & hike all through Old Greenwood. The Pavilion amenities are a huge plus especially in the summer months offering: pools, hot tubs, gym, restaurant/bar, waterslide, kiddie water park, tennis, basketball, boche ball courts, etc. The free shuttle to Northstar & back in the winter makes it very easy for everyone to come & go at their own leisure without the stress of having to be ready to come & go w/ the entire group. Additionally, the shuttle relieves the concern of parking & walking to the mountain w/ all your equipment during peak times.
What makes this property unique
Our home was originally built by the developer of the Ritz, the village at Northstar, Old Greenwood & Gray's Crossing for his own personal residence. No expense was spared to build this work of art built with steel beam construction. The living room carpet was handmade in Nepal, the trestle wood was brought over from salt mines in Utah. Corsi cabinets w/ subzero & Wolf appliances. Many finishes in the home were handmade/ hand forged including the master bath copper Japanese soaking tub, mill work, rails, lights and 2.5" thick mahogany doors. There are many creature comforts such as Lutron lighting, electric shades, big screen TV, sonos system, air purifying system, heated bathroom floors/toilets, bidets & steam shower. Being situated @ the end of a cul-de-sac (with a long driveway) on the golf course w/ only one neighbor, the location is amazing & has breathtaking views of the golf course & Northstar. The outdoor yard (right off the back of the home) has plenty of room to entertain large groups.
