A beautiful location with amazing hosts. We felt like family and enjoyed visiting with the hosts. Even my terrified pup fell in love with them which made the stay even more enjoyable. We are looking forward to our next stay.😊

Great location for a relaxing vacation

My husband and I went on vacation for our year anniversary and stayed in a cabin for a week while exploring the area. Everything was perfect about this property! It was secluded and incredibly peaceful. It was a perfect spot to come back to after hiking or kayaking for the day. The hosts are wonderful people and care about making everything great for your stay. 100% we will be back!

A Gem In The Wilderness

This cabin was adorable and all that we needed to get away for a few nights! We will definitely be back. Thank you Brenda for your hospitality. Oh and the stars at night were amazing! All we had to do was step out of the cabin and the Milky Way was right above us. Thanks again!

Little gem in the middle of nowhere.

It is a lovely and quiet place where you can really relax and reenergize. The cabin (4) in which we stayed was absolutely fantastic. The pictures on the site don’t reflect the reality, but the cabin was spacious, super clean and well equipped. Brenda, the host is wonderful, amazing and very nice person making you welcomed and feeling at home, responding to any requests and actually anticipating your inquiries. Peter, Brenda's husband, is very nice too. We had a great time and one day when we around we definitely visit and stay there again.

Everything We Needed It To Be

My partner and I are outdoorsy people, currently living ridiculously busy lives. We needed to get away, breathe in some fresh air, and just sit still for a bit, far away from our hectic daily lives. Our little cabin provided just that. We got there and were immediately treated and told everything we needed to know. The cabin was cozy and adorable. It was the perfect jumping off point to head to the awesome grocery store and breakfast joints in Milo, as well as to head out for a great hike with our pup at the nearby state park. Every restaurant we stopped at in the area served delicious food, with Peace, Love, and Waffles, recommended by our host, being my favorite. We laid out in front of our cabin to watch a meteor shower, with billions of stars shining bright overhead, and used our time in the cabin to rest, read, and make art. I’d highly recommend staying here. It was a wonderful experience.

The host made this a terrible experience. I paid for two nights and we should be able to leave whatever lights or air conditioning on as we pls since we paid for it. Come to find out, after grtting back to our cabin the owners were in it and shut off not only the lights, but the portable ac unit—this is unacceptable, especially since it was during a heat advisory it was 97 degrees out!! For this reason i am never coming back here again. Also, there are many better cabins available with nice lakefront access and a firepit. This place seemed like the owners just built 5 cabins on undeveloped land and stated in the ad that it overlooked a pond. Do yourself a favor and do your due diligence when looking at cabin properties in Maine for the price you can get much better l i will not be coming here again!

Excellent!!

We really enjoyed our stay! The check in process was very convenient and simple, they left our cabin unlocked for us so we could just pull right up and get settled. Cabin was very clean and cozy, beds were very comfortable and the linen smelled nice, fresh and clean! The cabin was decorated very cute inside and had everything you could need! My dogs felt right at home and loved the beautiful walking trail behind the cabin. The area was very quiet and set back nicely in the woods, very welcoming environment. We hope to stay here again in the future!

R & R

It's a great place to getaway from the city. The cabin I rented was clean and spacious. It's almost a complete home. There's a nice trail at the back. I mainly enjoyed the peace and quiet. It's a perfect place to rest and relax.

The perfect getaway

Me and my husband spent our honeymoon there and it was just what we asked for . we wanted to have a cabin in the woods and have it also feel like home which is what you will get and what I loved the most was seeing the beautiful night sky full of stars

Very cute and modern!

This is a beautiful property! The cabins are nice, clean, and well equipped. She also provided great info on restaurants and there was even a satellite passing through the sky and visible at night! The location is great for a weekend getaway to check out the surrounding towns and stargazing. I would recommend this place for a quiet relaxing trip, just bring lots of bug spray because the black flies and deer flies are fierce in the summer.

About the host

Hosted by Brenda Lundquist

Host profile image
We moved here from busy Cape Cod to enjoy the quiet north Maine woods and have the opportunity to meet great people from around the world.

Why they chose this property

You will hear only the whispering of the leaves on the trees, birds chirping and no traffic noises. The open space around the cabins is not adequately depicted in a photo; big sky and awesome sunsets and an occasional rainbow after a shower.
