This is a wonderful, large, secluded, waterfront home available for rent. Tucked at the end of a long wooded driveway, this house is perfect for your special event! Just steps from the beach, it boasts breathtaking views from nearly every room. Imagine sipping your morning coffee on the deck as the sun rises, or enjoying evening cocktails outdoors while taking in a stunning sunset. Swim, boat, kayak, fish, clam, or paddleboard right in the backyard. Afterward, unwind in a hot outdoor shower or relax in the hot tub! The water is warm, tranquil, and peaceful. Pro tip: clamming is best at low tide, while high tide is perfect for swimming. A boat ramp, mooring, and three kayaks are available for an additional fee.

SPACE
This home offers ample space for large groups, with over 10,000 square feet (8,000 available for rental) of stylish yet comfortable and clean accommodations. Explore cozy alcoves, perfect for relaxing or entertaining.

Wow! This is a stunning home with all of the amenities you could ever want. We hosted a 75th Birthday party here and everyone had an amazing time. It was even more beautiful than the pictures show and there are hidden gems throughout - including the best shower ever! Lori was wonderful to work with and made us feel so welcome! I highly recommend booking today.

50th Anniversary Celebration

The home and the location were perfect for our whole family. There were 11 of us, and there was plenty of space for everyone. Being right on the water was a big plus for us. Many of us enjoyed kayaking on the bay.

Fabulous House

There was so much for everyone to do, lots of equipment and a great fire pit to end active days with conversation and s’mores. Gorgeous house on a great spot for water activities except for swimming - too shallow and muddy - but easy to get to cape and other nearby beaches. Highly recommended for families.

Beautiful home with a gorgeous view and all the amenities one could possibly need. The finished lower level with the theater seats, exercise equipment and two extra bedrooms was perfect for the children and teens. The whole house is perfect for a large family as we never felt that we were on top of each other, even in the amazing kitchen at mealtimes. The area was great for kayaks and paddle boards and would probably be well suited for small motorized watercraft. The owner was always available and replied quite promptly to text when we had questions. I hope to return to lovely property someday.

Fantastic Property For A Get Together

We were celebrating our oldest 25th birthday - a golf weekend with friends and family - then spent a few days with just our immediate family. The house is beautiful and had plenty of space for everyone. Owner is very responsive and gave us great info about the property and the local area. Encountered no issues during our stay. Very quiet and peaceful outside with a beautiful water view. Nice firepit area which was great on the cool evenings. This house is great for getaways with a group of family or friends.

Perfect family gathering place!

We had a wonderful time at Shell Point Estate! We’re a large extended family of 12 (three generations, ages 7 to 79!), who had vacationed together many times, but never in the same house. The layout & the size of Shell Point provided the perfect balance of privacy (almost like 3 separate apartments on 3 levels) & gathering spaces like the spacious dining room & family room. We enjoyed morning coffee outside, overlooking the water…& evening s’mores around the fire pit. There were marathon pingpong tournaments in the basement & badminton matches in the side yard. Lori was easy to work with, answering all our questions & providing great information about restaurants & shopping. This was our first visit to the area, but we’ll definitely be back!!

Nice big house

The house is large but the AC only works to 73 so if it is a hot summer rental you will be hot in the upstairs bedrooms. The water location is great. But it’s a bit off the beaten path.

Cape Cod Family Vacation

The property and house are absolutely amazing. There is more than enough room for everyone to have their own space, there were 12 of us. The furnishings are wonderful and the kitchen has every utensil/gadget you could ask for. Then there is the master bath, WOW!!! The firepit with tiki bar makes for great relaxing nights. Lori is a terrific host. She offered early check in and late check out. Gave us a lot of ideas for things to do and places to eat and was quick to respond to our texts. We could not have asked for more.

Perfect Holiday Retreat

Our extended family of four households from four states--eight adults and seven kids ages 6-13--found this house to be a wonderful site in which to celebrate Thanksgiving and an approaching 50th birthday. Weather wasn't conducive to much outdoor activity, but the ground floor afforded excellent recreation and entertainment for the kids. The huge, well-equipped kitchen made preparation of the turkey-day feast a successful joint effort, and the elegant dining room was the perfect setting for the meal. The master suite surpassed expectation. And Lori was gracious, helpful, and accommodating. Ours was a most memorable stay!

Space is amazing! Had everything we needed, and the host was very polite.

Incredibly spacious, there was room for all 15 of us. Plenty of amenities to use, and the kitchen island is beautiful. Loved the patio, and firepit. We definitely put it to use. Top it all with an amazing view of the water. 5 stars

A Perfect Get Away

Our family loved this property. There were 7 of us (2 couples and 3 kids) which meant that each cousin got to have their own room plus one extra room for a "sleep over" night. This secluded house has a beautiful, open floor plan for us all to gather and talk, but also has both inside and outside spaces for private reading time (screen time in some cases). There is an office which my husband used each day; the bedrooms are lovely and comfortable and all but one includes a bathroom; the well-appointed kitchen included everything we needed; the dinning room is so pretty that we had to buy each girl a new outfit so that they could "Dress for Dinner" on our last night. The property is right on the bay, so we had our own spot to put our kayaks, etc in the water. Of course the location is stunning. Oh, and I can't forget that the internet connection was excellent for us. Lastly, I truly enjoyed visiting with Lori, who is very pleasant and informative. She also responds quickly to any questions or concerns.

Overall a great experience

The house was clean and had plenty of room for everyone. We rented the kayaks and enjoyed kayaking to Onset Beach from the house. At the beach we enjoyed kayaking to a little island where you could get out and explore. We visited Provincetown and RacePoint Beach and saw seals along the shore. We also took a trip to Plymouth, which was beautiful. The kids loved the house and the boys found lots of crabs and oysters there. Many memories were made.

Perfect family getaway

We booked Lori’s house for Fourth of July for our annual family getaway - about 11 adults and 5 kids under the age of 8. The house was absolutely lovely with so much space the kids kept getting lost inside the house. There were plenty of rooms and bathrooms. The kids loveeeeed the steam shower and the massive jacuzzi tub in the master suite. We had a ping pong tournament one night in the basement. During the day, we clammed, swam, crabbed and found oysters. The marsh and the bay were so calm and peaceful - it made for wonderful kayak rides and days reading by the beach. The trampoline was an awesome surprise and the kids couldn’t leave it alone. The fire pit area with the tiki bar is super cute. There were lots of great board games and books. Lori is a wonderful communicator, accommodating and pleasant to work with. Make sure to bring bug spray as the marsh means more mosquitos, noseums and horseflies but it’s worth the bugs to have such rich shellfish and ocean life around!

2 Week Stay for College Graduation

We’re local to New England and needed an ideal spot for our son graduating from Massachusetts Maritime Academy and getting commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant, USMC. We found it! First, Lori the owner is fantastic and very accommodating. House was large enough to accommodate 4 generations of family; from the Master to the large 2nd and 3rd bedrooms with their own bathroom, to the bunkroom for the little kids, to the basement for the college kids to play ping pong, plug in their PS4 and have a bunch of friends stay over. Plenty of room to host a graduation party, including the oversized refrigerators and freezers. As a cook, the kitchen is awesome and perfect for large barbecues or breakfast gatherings. The views of ShellPoint Bay are calming; both as the sun rises or as the sun sets and a nice breeze picks up. The outside area on the bay has a Tiki Hut, fire pit and works perfectly for a little corn hole competition and a few cold beers. Grocery store and liquor store are just a few minutes away. Amazing house, we had a great time and made some great memories. Enjoy your rental!!

Beautiful location, great amenities

Four families totaling 7 adults and 5 kids (ages 6-15) enjoyed this picturesque location. We appreciated all having private space as well as gathering spaces. Location in a bay allowed for neat kayaking as well as fun finding clams, crabs, shells, etc. Good location for taking day trips to Boston, Plymouth, Cape Cod, and more. Not ideal for beach play (not wide area of sandy beach) but many sand-filled beaches are nearby. House has great character and some really nice amenities. Well stocked kitchen. Might not be ideal for families with toddlers because of the many staircases and sunken rooms. Good communication with Lori, the owner. We made great memories here!

Dream come true!

This beach house was a dream come true. We stayed here with some close family friends, our party was 12 in all and there was room to spare. It had absolutely everything we needed to be comfortable and happy during our 5 night stay. We enjoyed time in the house playing games, watching movies in the basement, and especially playing down by the beach. My kids spent most of their waking hours digging for crabs and paddling around in the kayaks. The bay is perfect for exploring and I felt very comfortable and safe going for morning runs through the surrounding neighborhoods. The home owner, Lori, was amazing!!! She was helpful, communicative, and gave great advice. The water also had beautiful sunrises and sunsets and the darling town of Onset which was only a few minutes away, had great pizza and other good places to eat. I have stayed at many VRBO’s and Air BnB’s and I have never felt a home deserved a 5 star rating more. One word to future renters though, bug spray. There was some provided at the house, but as naïve westerners we didn’t even think to put any on our first time down to the water and we were eaten alive by mosquitoes. Once we used the spray we never had trouble again. Enjoy this amazing property. I hope I get to go back again some day.

We have two boys whom we predominantly raised in NC (Go Tar Heels!), but we’ve cherished many special visits to our home in Wareham. Hosting has been such a joy for me, and I especially love ensuring the house is comfortable, well-stocked with everything you might need, and tastefully decorated for our guests. It’s been incredible to welcome families from all around the world to enjoy our home.

Why they chose this property

This property was custom-built by the owners in 2001 as their primary residence and a space for business endeavors. After relocating to North Carolina, they’re unable to use the home as often as they’d like. With two children and extended family in the area, the owners have cherished countless special moments here, including family holidays, sleepovers, birthdays, Fourth of July celebrations, clambakes, weddings, and reunions. Now, they’re excited to share this beautiful property with you!

What makes this property unique

The views from nearly every room in the house are truly breathtaking. While you’ll be part of a wonderful neighborhood, the property’s privacy allows you to fully enjoy its unique charm. We love how the multiple floors provide plenty of space to spread out, yet we always find ourselves gathering in the heart of the home – the kitchen. Our favorite time to be on the deck is around 6 PM, when the sun is setting, the saltwater air is crisp, the bay is perfectly still, and the mosquitos haven’t made their appearance yet. We hope you’ll enjoy this magical moment as much as we do!
