About this property
Tranquil cottage nestled among trees, Guerneville
If you're looking for a tranquil getaway nestled in the redwoods of Guerneville, you'll find it here at the Red Door Retreat.
The space
The Red Door Retreat is a quaint 1940s cottage, nestled hillside amongst tall redwood trees, on two-thirds of an acre, only a mile from downtown Guerneville.
The Red Door Retreat is a quaint 1940s cottage, nestled hillside amongst tall redwood trees, on two-thirds of an acre. Tucked away on a quiet back street, the Red Door Retreat offers the feeling of seclusion, peace and serenity. The cottage sleeps 6 adults, it has a spacious living area with a wood-burning fireplace, and an updated kitchen that opens to a spacious, private back deck for summer barbecues. The front porch faces west and is the perfect place to sip your favorite wine and watch the sunset over the treetops of the surrounding hills. As if two spacious decks weren't enough, there's a third right off the dining room, which is perfect for that morning cup of coffee. A relaxing soak in the spa after hiking in Armstrong Redwoods Reserve or wine tasting in any of the nearby wineries is a perfect way to end the day.
The Red Door Retreat is only one mile from downtown Guerneville which offers an array of great restaurants, cafes, and bars as well as a weekly farmers market, antique shops, and a flea market. This easy 10-minute walk also takes you past the public river access, community tennis courts, and over the ever-popular pedestrian bridge.
We've recently remodeled the bathroom and updated the furniture and furnishings, to give a warm, charming cohesive cabin experience, which we're sure you'll appreciate and enjoy.
