Great communication with the host. Quick and easy check-in. Home is old, as stated, so don’t expect perfection. It’s great to have a spacious home, plenty of beds, and 3 bathrooms. Kitchen is adequate but could use a new large skillet. Thankfully, there are decent curtains on most windows, since some of the blinds are broken. Location is great to central Birmingham.

The pictures of the house are "AI'd" - the house is extremely old, very dirty. It had bugs/insects, and bluntly is a dump. VRBO should remove it from the roster of houses for booking. I would never EVER stay there again, or recommend it. No water pressure, not enough hot water. Windows don't open, and very run-down. We didn't expect much, and this was bad. I have waited 2 weeks to review as I wanted to let my opinions settle, and I'm not thrilled about being so negative, but it was truly awful.

The house was literally falling apart. Rugs taped to the floor, holes in floor by stairs, all the blinds broken, smelled dirty. Half the furniture broken. Very poorly maintained property.

It's a big house in a great old neighborhood. I gave it a lower rating mostly because of a bunch of little things. The towel bars in a couple of the bathrooms were broken. The water pressure upstairs is low. In one bathroom the shower pressure was so low we didn't use it. The living room was lit by one bulb in the ceiling. etc. Overall we were OK with it. It worked well for us and it's a good price. Would I stay there again... I don't know.
Pretty strange placement for a picture on the wall.
A broken towel rod.
Looks a little like mold. I can't tell for sure. But it doesn't look as clean as I'd like.

Perfect for baseball tourney

This is actually a 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom home. Was hard to find one with that many full baths. Rooms were decently sized and each one had its own window air conditioner. The house also had central A/C. They provided enough linens for all of our guests as well as some basic necessities in the bathrooms and kitchen. Location wise, it was no more than 20 mins to every field we played at and was a convenient drive to all stores and restaurants.

This house was so cool! Very historic property with lots of personality. The neighborhood was quiet with friendly neighbors. Easy access to restaurants and venues. Lots of sleeping options, bathrooms upstairs and one downstairs. There's one TV downstairs in the front room. There's a cute quiet reading nook off of the dining room that was absolutely adorable. The room downstairs was very cool. Would be fun for a kid and a parent. It had a loft bed and a regular twin bed. There was a fun nook under the loft bed for a kid to hang out in. We would definitely stay here again. This is a fun house for someone looking to stay somewhere a little more unique that is still safe and clean. I feel really lucky that we got to experience a home like this. Towels, washcloths, bedding, shampoo, conditioner, coffee were provided. Remember to bring your cream and sugar! There was a washer and dryer with laundry pods and dryer sheets. I saw an iron also. Dish soap provided as well.

I wanted to give this property a better rating but couldn’t. Yes, it is a much older home, wasn’t expecting perfection.Honestly it has SO much potential!! However, the upkeep on this house is greatly lacking! I will say the home was clean, beds pretty comfy & it did accommodate our large family, which is why we chose it. There was coffee pot & keurig . Had iron but table top board. We did contact the management about many missing things such as multiple light bulbs out. They did bring 1 lamp& one power strip to us, said they would be back with the correct light bulbs & a new fan/light on day one. Sadly they never came back. negative -all air filters filthy, we cleaned! Broken blinds all over house. Master bdrm window unit doesn’t go below 72, minimal outlets. Bathroom near master, no electrical outlets. Other bath,no towel bars. unless you are tall the mirror is useless. Water pressure is minimal when showering . The bdrm w/2 queens, fan/light did not work, 2 lamps provided, needed extension chord to use they brought 1, i bought more & No closet. Bdrm w/ 1 queen, hole in sheet rock, half closet. 2 single rm, prob in best shape. does have full closet. Paint peeling in multiple areas of home.sofa in small room broken, dips in middle, living rm couch dips as well - not comfy. All rugs in downstairs look old & are taped to floor with packing tape. Dwnstrs bath broke towel bar. Not really like pics show in listing . Thankfully it was clean, but would not rent again!
