Welcome to the Hummingbird Suite, our fun and friendly walkout apartment in Lake Junaluska. Comfy, clean and spacious, our guests tell us they feel right at home here. We're a ten-minute walk to the lake and pool, three miles to downtown Waynesville and an easy 30-minute drive to Asheville. And of course, very close to many waterfalls, creeks, rivers and hiking trails.

Hi, we're Reg and Mary Ann. Married over four decades, we've enjoyed many trips to the Smokies over the years, and retired in Lake Junaluska in 2018. We enjoy hosting guests in our downstairs apartment three seasons of the year. You probably won't see us or even hear us but we are available by text or phone in case you need anything.
Why they chose this property
Lake Junaluska is a serene, beautiful area yet there's lots of fun things to do, including swimming in the pool, kayaking, walking the Rose Walk loop, tennis, pickle ball, and more. We're a ten-minute beautiful walk to the lake, 3 miles from historic downtown Waynesville and 45 minutes to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
What makes this property unique
The 1,000 square foot apartment has a large living room with plenty of seating, a big screen TV, movies, games, books, art supplies and more. Please note that there are a couple of areas with low ceilings, so probably not a good match for guests over 6'4". There's a full kitchen, dining area, two bedrooms, one bath and a dressing room. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has two twins. Guests have two private entrances, one just steps from a dedicated parking area and the other to a private backyard setting with two patios.
