Located on Princess Street, in the historic heart of Dunmore Town, Harbour Island this spacious 1,400 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartment features sweeping views of the harbour, contemporary furnishings and thoughtful amenities. High ceilings, a large harbour side picture window, roomy outdoor terrace and understated coastal décor work together to create a gracious living space. A large, well-equipped kitchen, luxury bath amenities and plush bedding complete the resort-like experience. LED flat screen TV, high speed Internet, phone (free long distance calling to US, Canada and Europe), washer & dryer, out-door hot/cold rain shower, garden patio and gas grill are included. Folding beach chairs and beach towels provided. Pretty much everything you need to make this your "home away from home". There are two queen bedrooms and one bedroom with twin beds. One queen has its own ensuite bathroom. The second queen and twin share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom. Bedrooms and living room have split air conditioning units. Sleeps 6 comfortably. Housekeeping 3 days per week.

Charles is descended from the original settlers who arrived on Eleuthera in 1648. The apartment was constructed in the 1960s by his grandparents as a family home. Upon the passing of his grandmother in 2008, Charles took over the property and gave it a complete renovation with updated decor. It's a gem of a property located above the harbour in historic Dunmore Town with sweeping views of the sea and surrounding historic cottages.

Why they chose this property

Harbour Island used to be the best kept secret of the few who first discovered its charms 50 years ago. Well, the secret is out! And more and more discriminating travelers are discovering it. Good news is -- it remains relatively unchanged. An island of three miles with a few chic but small hotels, its capacity is limited. Which is good news for those who venture here. The spectacular pink sand beach (one of the Top Ten in the World) is never crowded. In fact, sometimes you might have it all to yourself!
