Hi Shannon, We are sorry to hear that you feel this way. I've confirmed with the staff that they cleaned every day that was not a holiday or Sunday. As noted in the property information on VRBO and in the pre-arrival message, housekeeping is provided everyday except for Sundays and holidays. Friday 3rd June and Monday 6th June were Bahamian national holidays, this is why they did not come on these days. The information about holidays is shared both in the property description as well as the information provided for guests prior to arrival. We are also sorry that it was raining for much of your trip, though of course, the weather is out of our control. As you would know, there were some storms in the area - the reminants of Tropical Cyclone Agatha which then became Alex and although we weren't directly impacted, it did cause some weather disburstances in the area. The home has been under new management for over a year and all of the 5 stars reviews we've had prior to yours was under this current managerment. We hope that you were able to enjoy some of your time on Harbour Island despite this. Thank you.

Hello Melinda, We hope you are well. We are disappointed that you did not share your concerns with us during your stay so that we could have addressed any concerns you had. The last message that we received from you was that everything was lovely. We've just done a review of the inventory amenities in the kitchen which include cutlery (large and small spoons, knives, forks, block set of cutting knives and steak knives), cooking utensils (i.e. spatulas, serving spoons, soup serving spoon, potato masher, can opener, serving forks, grater, fork tongs etc.), several cutting boards, baking dishes, colanders, several pots and pans of varying sizes, muffin/cupcake tins, cookie sheet, dinner plates and salad plates, saucers, bowls, mugs, as well as small appliances including but not limited to multiple coffee makers (breville and nespresso), toaster, kettle, toaster oven, and blender. We had also sent you photographs of all these items listed above asking you to confirm that they were indeed in the home at the time of your stay but have not received a response. Candles are not kept in the home due to fire hazard but there should have been flashlights and we have since purchased back up flashlights. We also recently purchased new linens and bedding for the home (which we do periodically to account for damage and loss). We have asked that you provide further details on what items were not to your standards but have not yet received a response. The outdoor areas are cleaned periodically. We understand that it did rain a few times during your 3 day stay and apologise if the outside did not stay clean enough during these periods of rain when the water would have stirred up some dirt and mud. Hello Gamble, we hope you are well. To briefly address your review in an objective manner: 1) We are the same managers and owners as in 2021. I remember your stay with us and how much you enjoyed the surround sound system. 2) As noted, there was a severe storm that night. The storm warning was issued at 7:15 p.m. , a few hours after your check in. The high winds and rain, we disovered the next morning, damaged a few shingles. They were repaired that same day, however you'd already left that morning. 3) The had been severe rains the day leading up to your stay, as the home is predominantly wooden on the patio, midlew builds up quickly in about 24 hours. We have it cleaned weekly - by the next day, it was cleaned. 3) The storm had everyone bogged down, no one could leave their homes and the housekeeper damaged her hand. Cell phone reception was patchy. Your message regarding the leak was sent at 8:40 p.m. in the midst of the storm, no one could physically get to the home and no workers could be reach. Only one room was affected, the other two bedrooms were fine. By 10 am the next morning, repairs were underway. Two seperate guests have stayed since without issue. 4) The housekeeprs comments about the ants was only out of care. She's a grandmother and only wanted to help. She was merely suggesting that you be careful, rather then telling you not to go on the baclony. Guests are welcome to use all of the outdoor spaces as they wish. 5) We offered our other home, Jewelbox, which was available as an alternative but you did not respond. We are very sorry this force majeure event impacted your stay and given the circumstances, we made repairs in less then 24 hours as well as offering you an equivalent home next door. Thank you.
