Centrally-located
You're never far from where you need to be with this convenient location.
This may technically be a tiny home but it doesn't feel that way when you're inside, and the thoughtful details throughout the space will make you feel right at home. From the heated floor in the bathroom to the extra high ceilings in the living room, the huge walk in shower to the luxurious mattress, pillows and bedding in the loft, this place was designed for ultimate comfort.
While the tiny home was designed with comfort and enjoyment in mind, we also wanted to make it as sustainable as possible. Everything including the heated floor in the bathroom and the heating / cooling heat pump mini-split are powered by solar panels on the roof, and we went overboard with insulation so that it stays cozy in the winter and cool in the summer. We provide soap, shampoo and conditioner all in re-fillable bottles to minimize plastic waste, and the bidet in the bathroom helps cut down on toilet paper waste too!
Sleeping: Getting a good night sleep while away from home can be tricky so we made it as comfortable as possible. The loft sleeping area features: - Queen size Purple mattress with gel flex grid. Great for relieving pressure points and regulating temperature - Multiple pillow options for all types of sleepers - Dosaze contoured orthopedic pillow that cradles your neck, Pillow Cube Ice Cube designed with more support for side sleepers and to keep you cool, Quince down alternative pillow that is soft and hypoallergenic - Premium bedding with sheets from Sijo, Cozy Earth, and Bed Threads. Comforter from Quince
There is also a pull out sofa bed downstairs with a memory foam topper to sleep up to 4 people total. If you plan on using the sofa bed please let me know when you book so that I can set it up for you ahead of time.
Bathroom: - Massive walk in shower with 3 shower heads, heated floor and a bench. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and q-tips provided - Bidet with instant hot water, heated seat, and dryer - Heated floor throughout the entire bathroom - Washer / dryer with detergent provided - Huge backlit mirror
Living: - Kitchenette with mini fridge, single induction burner, electric kettle, french press and pourover coffee makers with coffee provided - Work station with desk and chair - Beautiful circle window and skylight - Customizable and colorful lighting options - Private outdoor patio with table and chairs. Surrounded by garden beds growing bamboo and seasonal vegetables
The neighborhood:
The tiny home is in a beautiful and safe part of Northeast Portland. Enjoy checking out the unique houses and gardens on a neighborhood walk, or visit Wilshire Park just a block away. It's also a great base to explore Portland from:

About the host
Hosted by Miles Cernauskas
I grew up in Chicago and I've been living in Portland for 10 years now. I got moved here for work but I fell in love with the city and the nature surrounding it, so I stayed and put down roots. Some of my favorite things in life are travel, music, and nature.
After living in a van for 3 years driving all around the US, Mexico and Canada I figured I didn't need much space to live so I started designing and building this tiny home. But I kind of grew into my house again and I'm enjoying having space to host, so the tiny home is going to be for visiting family and friends and short term rentals for now. I hope you enjoy it and can feel the intention that went into creating it.
