Beautiful home and view! We spent a LOT of time fishing, watching the boats and wildlife pass by, and exploring the area. It’s in a remote area, which is what we wanted. It can be buggy when the winds die down, but that’s part of life in this area. Thanks for sharing your home!

Lovely home with stunning location across the river from Oriental. Tons of wildlife (river otters, birds, huge pod of dolphins, bobcat). No sounds from nearby roads or industry. Occasional boats of course. A short walk from the house is a sandy beach, perfect for coffee in the mornings. The views of the marshes and unspoiled nature are unbeatable! The bed was very comfortable and showers were fine. The layout is great with a large deck surrounded by live oaks dripping with Spanish moss. A well placed trumpet vine fed a steady supply of hummingbirds for our enjoyment. Multiple fans kept the ‘sketters away- so not as much of an issue as I expected. The gravel road is long, but worth the drive! Plan ahead with your supplies as nature is what is convenient here, not grocery stores. If you enjoy being surrounded by nature, yet still want comfort and amenities, this is a great find!

We are from Tabor City NC and our favorite thing to do is to be on or near water. We love being outdoors and in nature. We thrive at completing renovations, and this one was a doozy, and we are still making progress and changes! It's fun working together and finding solutions to the many problems that arise during renovations. Our 3 children and their friends have helped us with this property and even the people we bought it from helped too. The property suffered major damage during hurricane Florence in 2018, and sat empty until this year. Hope you choose our place to relax and unwind, fish, nature watch, go boating and exploring the way we do.

Why they chose this property

We did not choose this area, it chose us, long story...We absolutely love it and hope to retire here one day. Wallaceville, established 1981 ... means alot to me especially. My grandpas name was Wallace.
