Quiet, clean, comfortable cottage in the country. Private dock with boat ramp short drive away. Great place for fishing and crabbing. We really enjoyed our stay!

Thank you, Donna--we loved having you as guests, and you are welcome back any time!
For general readers, please note there is ample dockage, but no boat ramp--that belongs to neighbors. There are nearby places to put in, so we'll be sure to provide you with those directions if you are needing a boat ramp.
Everything was great and it's a super cute cottage. Perfect for our family of 4 visiting from the Netherlands. Very family friendly. Be aware of the ant piles in the yard after a rain, though. And bring mosquito spray in case the skeeters are out (like they were during this visit)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Oriental. The house was great and located on a pretty creek. The kayaks were fun to paddle on. Would love to stay here again when visiting the area.

And we'd love to have you back!
Suzanne is a terrific communicator, a wonderful guest, and kind to boot.
We enjoyed our brief stay. It was a little isolated but its a short drive to Oriental. The place was immaculate and the property manager was very responsive.
The house was charming with every modern upgrade to make our visit so pleasant. The sunsets were lovely and it was very quiet and peaceful. Our dogs loved the area as well. Thank you!
We had a wonderful time at the secluded property. We enjoyed the marina, and got beautiful photos there. Boat ramp we were able to use at the Marina, which is next to the house. The house was very nicely set up, with all the amenities needed, extra towels, linens, blankets, kitchen items. It was as if we were home! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your home!
Excellent host, beautiful creek and quiet surroundings
Maria was a wonderful host! It was our first visit to the Oriental area. Life take a slower pace there, but there’s more than enough to see and do over a long weekend. Keep in mind that the location is remote, but if that’s what you’re looking for, then it could be a great place for you. Creek was beautiful.
Purpose of our stay was to rest from work, to fish, and relax. The place offers- great fishing deck (that is in shade! due boat covered dock) kayaks to discover the neighborhood and a nice big green lot- where our dog could run. We loved the stay and highly recommend it. Thank you.
The rooms were large. The house was clean. Very peaceful and quiet. The traffic was minimum. Large yard and the fishing was fun. We caught a bunch of shrimp with our cast net. Definitely an enjoyable weekend.
Lovely property about 10. minutes from Oriental, NC. This sweet home is on a cul de sac, next to a Marina. We enjoyed taking the kayaks into the main river where we saw Dolphins and River Otter. Our pets were very happy with a large yard. We enjoyed fishing from the spacious dock. When we asked locals where they swim - they encouraged us to check the waterway reports before swimming. After we saw a jellyfish next to the dock and read about the bacteria, out of an abundance of caution, we chose not to swim at the property or in the area. The management was great, answering all our questions. Checking in and out was easy!
One of the most relaxing vacations of my life! After almost 3 months without a day off I needed a quiet weekend to recharge. The Coffee Creek Cottage checked all my boxes!
I rented it for Fri & Sat night. Upon entering & opening the windows I knew that wouldn't be long enough. Messaged Maria, who had been great, friendly and responsive during the reservation process, she easily added a night to my reservation, and I was able to settle up with VBRO all in a few minutes.
My cat and I enjoyed the breeze and birds chirping from the rocking chairs on the covered porch, I caught a fish for dinner Saturday, and enjoyed the clawfoot tub. Kitchen was fully stocked with pots/pans/spices. Not having to worry about linens, towels, toilet paper, dish soap made it even more relaxing to be able to pack light! The pictures are deceiving, you don't just get a creek water view, it's a 180 degree view of the creek and nearby river, so even better!!!
Only drawbacks I found were while they provided fishing rods, there were no sharp fillet knifes so I butchered it!!! I poached it so presentation didn't bother me, it was tasty :) Also the bed was too firm for my preference. But why would you want to sleep in here!
As a 39yr woman and her cat I felt so relaxed and safe here. May have seen half dozen vehicles in the 3 days I was there. So charming.. only thing missing to make it a Nicholas Sparks novel was the strong misunderstood male lol! I can't wait to revisit CCC in the future!
We absolutely had a blast enjoying our short stay on Coffee Creek. The fishing was good, the towns were quaint and just enough local amenities that you weren’t completely backwoods. The rental is beautifully crafted and made our stay feel extremely luxurious.
We enjoyed our stay. Everything was as advertised, clean and the kitchen was well stocked. If I was forced to make a suggestion, it would be to have a ladder added to the dock. In getting in and out of the boat with dogs, I kept planning what I would do if I or the dog fell in because the shore has sharp rocks and barnacles. The house is a delight and we would stay again.
We had a lovely time, house is perfect and the area was grand. Kayaking was great fun. Pupsters really enjoyed the open grass and the dock. We will be returning. House exactly as described.
