Perhaps you'll head out for a day of fishing and come back for a soak in the elegant bathtub? Then rock your worries away on the covered front porch while you indulge in "grill aromatherapy" as supper gently sizzles?
If you feel like rejoining civilization, please do so with charm in mind--take a ten minute drive into Oriental. There's plenty to enjoy in the way of dining, shopping, village life, and a ramp to launch your boat down at the end of Midyette Street. From there, it's not far to plenty more destinations that make great day trips, from New Bern (35 minutes) to Atlantic Beach (42 miles + free ferry ride).
