About this property
Peaceful Catskills Creek House
Escape to our serene creekside cottage in the heart of the Hudson Valley—just two hours from NYC but a world away from the hustle. Whether you’re seeking a romantic weekend getaway, a writing retreat or a cozy hideaway, our home delivers. Tucked along a peaceful creek with unobstructed views of a nature preserve, it’s the ideal setting to relax, recharge, and reconnect with nature. Best of all, you can easily walk or bike to downtown Saugerties for charming cafes, boutiques, and restaurants.
- Sunroom: Step into our sun-drenched room featuring a spacious L-shaped couch and stunning creek views. This room also includes a double-decker queen air mattress for extra sleeping space. We’ve stocked it with a personal collection of books, puzzles, and games—feel free to enjoy them (just return them when you’re done).
- Living room and dining room: a fully equipped living room with a couch, TV, and dining table for 4
- Bedroom & Bathroom: A cozy queen bed and a thoughtfully appointed bathroom offer comfortable privacy.
- Kitchen: Fully equipped with everything you need for your culinary adventures—from high-quality coffee-making tools to a blender for smoothies and a full stove and oven. Enjoy your meals inside or head out to the deck for alfresco dining.
- Technology & Entertainment: Stay connected (if you choose) with high-speed Wi-Fi, a big smart TV loaded with streaming apps, and a Sonos Move speaker (please keep it indoors).
- Fitness & Wellness: We have yoga mats, light weights, and resistance bands so you can keep up with your workout routine even on vacation.
Outdoor Area
- Creekside Deck: Perfect for morning coffee or afternoon cocktails, with a gas grill for outdoor cooking.
- Outdoor daybed by the Water: Lounge with a good book or simply soak up the sounds of the creek.
- Fire Pit: A gas fire pit with Adirondack chairs sets the scene for cozy evenings under the stars.
- Basketball Hoop: Shoot some hoops with the basketball provided (you’ll find it in the deck box).
Important Note: There are steep outside stairs leading to the creek and no railing. For safety reasons, we do not recommend this property for children or anyone with mobility concerns.
You’ll have full access to the entire home and outdoor spaces, including the deck, daybed, and fire pit by the creek. Please note that the steep embankment and lack of railings make this home unsuitable for children under 12 or individuals with mobility issues.
We value your privacy but are always available via phone or message for any questions, recommendations, or assistance you may need throughout your stay.
Located in Saugerties, our cottage is just a short stroll or bike ride from Main Street, where you’ll find quaint bookstores, cafes, and shops.
A quick drive will take you to many Hudson Valley hotspots:

- Town of Hudson (30 min) for its trendy art scene and foodie destinations
- Woodstock, Kingston, Rhinebeck (all about 20 min) for rich cultural experiences, dining, and festivals.

- No Children: Due to steep stairs and an unfenced creek, this property is not suitable for young children.
- Noise: Please keep the speaker indoors and be mindful of neighbors when enjoying the outdoor spaces. Quiet hours are appreciated after 10 PM.
- Respect Our Things: You’re welcome to borrow any books, puzzles, and games—please take good care of them and return them before you leave.
