Three Bears Cottages - Mama Bear - Cozy 2-bedroom cabin with AC, WiFi


Located in East Tawas with 2 cozy bedrooms - one with a queen bed and the other with a bunk bed - and a newly renovated bathroom. The modest kitchen has a full-size fridge, stove, microwave and countertop seating for three. Enjoy the comfort of the living room with a pull-out sofa bed, and two comfy chairs. Window AC, heating, TV and WiFi. Take in beautiful lake and sunset views, family meals or a siesta on the screened-in porch. Also on the screened porch is a dining room table that seats eight and another cozy sofa.

Our rustic cabin is equipped for both long or short stays to make your vacation one to remember. A fully equipped kitchen with fridge, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, glasses, silverware and cookware. We also have bed linens and towels for your use. Heat and AC make for comfortable year-round stays.

Birdwatch or fish on Tawas Lake. Take the canoes or kayaks and paddle down the river (shared with our other two cabins). Roast marshmallows at your own outdoor firepit. Several bikes are available to ride.

The area has many terrific restaurants, ice cream parlors, and shopping. Enjoy beautiful beaches at Lake Huron and Tawas State Park. There is a Disc golf course at the end of Rainbow Drive (about a half mile away). Tons of nearby trails for hiking, biking, skiing of snowmobiling!

Strip any used beds, gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Hang leash buckles at tree. Pick up dog poo.
Trash can be put in any of the bins at the street. Do not leave trash outside of the bins.
Turn off the the A/C. Have a safe trip home!

We both grew up in Southeastern Michigan and dreamed of having a cottage 'up north'. We found these sweet little property with three rustic cottages (built in 1920) and feel in love.

Three Bears are located close to the sweet little town of East Tawas, close to Lake Huron and yet feel miles away from anywhere!

What makes this property unique

How often do you find sunsets over the lake on the east side of Michigan? Right here! Tawas Lake is a quiet, shallow lake. Terrific for paddling (no speedboats), catching fish and a birding destination.

Tawas is a gateway to all the outdoors that this side of the state has to offer--from land to water, including hiking, exploring, ATVs, CC skiing, hunting, fishing, snowmobiles, boating--the list is endless. Yet you can enjoy great meals, fun bars, art, shopping, festivals, beaches, and more in this vibrant small town.
