The Blue Creek School house (circa 1870) was one of 7 one room school houses in Salt Creek Township. We have converted this gem into a getaway in the heart of Hocking Hills. The cabin has a queen bed and a twin over full bunk bed, a full kitchen and bath. Pet Friendly. One large studio type space. Located just minutes away from great attractions like Tar Hallow State Park, Ash Cave, Old Man’s Cave, Cedar Fall and many, many more.

This was an amazing trip for us! Property was perfect and for a family trip it and it was so much fun! The bunk beds were a hit with our little one! The fire pit was a hit with the adults! Overall it was a welcome retreat and a fantastic weekend!
Property is as advertised. Definitely an old school house, with charm, and all of the essentials for a simple stay. Perfect location to explore Hocking Hills State Park. Set up nicely for couples and small families. Fire Pit on the property is perfect for roasting hotdogs and marshmallows.
This property was much better stocked than most places we have stayed. She even provided firewood, marshmallow forks, and fire starter for the fire pit!
As always the cabin was clean and tidy. The heating/cooling system worked perfect on these cold nights. This cabin is perfect for a weekend getaway, or an extended stay. The host are the best and want you to have a pleasant stay. I have been here multiple times and will continue to make this a destination.
The schoolhouse was clean and cozy. Check in was super easy. Communication with Kathy was simple. My husband and I came to celebrate our wedding anniversary by hiking and checking out the caves. Unfortunately it rained pretty much the whole time we were here. But the schoolhouse was cozy enough that we didn't mimd stating in the whole stay.
The house was super cute and with it being in one room, the ceilings were so tall it never felt claustrophobic! Dog friendly, very easy to contact if we needed anything. The ONLY thing I would say, is the well water had a smell to it. But that's easily fixed with some plug ins and we kept the fan on in the bathroom. The owners were very nice and had some water bottles stocked in the fridge and we went to the store and bought a case for the rest of our stay. Kitchen was stocked well with cooking supplies, plenty of pillows and comforters to stay comfortable!
