The host was amazing to work worth and it was the perfect spot for a girls weekend. It was very peaceful and had everything we needed. A great spot indeed!
The property is located in a lovely neighborhood close to town and situated on a peaceful lot on a small inlet where all manner of birds reside among the trees. The house is comfortably furnished with anything you could need. Natalie is an attentive and thoughtful host. Would definitely stay again.

Thank you Marina! We loved having you and your wonderful family, and we can’t wait for you to return in future summers.
Quaint, quiet, well kept, clean-Very attentive owners that have great tips on where to go and what to see: such a lively sitting area by the water and such a quiet neighborhood. Be anywhere in the town you need in 7 minutes. Highly recommend and will stay again when we return!!!!!Also- Hanger B for the win- cool vibe and GREAT FOOD!!!!!
The host was very attentive. The house was situated close to downtown Chatham but was in a quiet neighborhood and the back porch was a peaceful gathering spot for our group. During our visit the hot tub was under repair and the host graciously refunded some of our fees since we weren’t able to use it. We enjoyed using the kayak and canoe. We will definitely try to stay here when we come back to the Cape.

We loved having you--you were so polite and you left the place spotless. Thank you! And, too late for your stay, but we found the issue with the hot tub (faulty wiring) and now it's working. We hope to see you again soon!
We visited this property over labor day weekend and had a truly wonderful experience. The house is perfectly situated in a quiet residential area just a short drive from town and several beaches. The property is also located on a scenic inlet that you can take a kayak or canoe out on, both of which are provided by the host. If you're adventurous enough, you can travel down the inlet 30-45 minutes and access a beautiful beach that's great for dogs and ideal for swimming. The home is very cozy and we found the pictures to be accurate. The porch is very pleasant to sit out on and take in the surrounding nature and there's also a wonderful outdoor shower. We truly enjoyed our time here and look forward to visiting again in the future!

Thank you for staying, and we hope to see you again soon :)
The house is very comfortable and was plenty spacious for our family. The hosts take care of everything - towels, life vests, bedding - and are very accommodating and gracious. We spent a lot of time on the back deck with a beautiful view of the woods and the water. The kids went kayaking and loved it - they even had a friendly run-in with a seal! The house is in a quiet neighborhood and within a 10-minute drive, tops, of everything Chatham has to offer. Highly recommend.

Thank you for the nice review--we just loved having you. Your kids were amazing! How cool to encounter a seal!
Home was a little dated and quirky - pictures are accurate to what you will get and the place felt very clean. The hot tub wasn’t fully operational with lights not working making it hard for night time use with no outdoor lights around either, and most of the jets did not work. Everything else was fine - the water behind the house felt like too strong of a current to use the canoe or kayak for our group but was so peaceful having it for a view and bird watching on the porch.

Thanks for the review. We're glad you found the house to be clean, and the deck/waterfront to be peaceful. The bird life is truly awesome, with osprey nesting across the river, great snowy egrets roosting along the shore, and kingfishers darting along the river. Stunning. We even have otters swimming along our shores.
To help the next guest, I'll explain the hot tub set-up in this reply. There is a deck light that lights up the entire upper deck (light switch to the right of the slider), which throws ambiant light for the hot tub on the lower deck so that the light does not distract too much from the radiance of the nighttime sky. In fact, we find that most people prefer leaving the deck light off entirely to enhance the nighttime experience.
The hot tub is large and inviting--a perfect spot to listen to the wind through the trees, and watch birds and the abundant fireflies in summer. By design, this is a no-frills Arctic Spa that does not have a stereo system or a light show because that is just not the vibe we're after.
Use Pump 1 for the amount of desired bubbles: Off (no bubbles); Blinking Arrow (light bubbles); Solid Arrow (high-powered jets). This info is also included in the instruction booklet.
As for the tidal river: The water ebbs and flows, as tides are known to do, keeping the water fresh and always moving in a gentle flow. However, the wind speed can affect the amount of effort needed for canoeing and kayaking. For this reason, it's often best to go for a paddle in the morning or late afternoon hours, when the river is glassy. The life vests are in the garage.
We recently stayed at a beautiful VRBO rental in Chatham, MA, and had a fantastic experience. The property is perfectly situated right on an inlet—offering serene views and direct access to the tidal river. Waking up each morning to the soft sounds of the water and enjoy the evenings in the hot tub made this stay feel like a true escape. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing week. The decor struck a nice balance between classic Cape Cod charm and modern amenities. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking at home, and the outdoor deck was perfect for dining al fresco with a water view. One of the highlights was being able to kayak and canoeing right from the backyard. It was so convenient and added an extra layer of fun to our trip. The location was also ideal—just a short drive to downtown Chatham with its lovely shops, restaurants, and beaches, but tucked away enough to feel private and peaceful. Our Labrador loved exploring the nearby trails, especially the Barclay's Pond trail, where she could enjoy peaceful walks and refreshing swims. The hosts were friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with, making the check-in process completely seamless. We even had the pleasure of meeting our host, Natalie, by chance at Jackknife Beach. If you're looking for a quiet, scenic spot to unwind while still being close to all that Chatham has to offer, this rental is a gem. We would absolutely return!

About the host
Hosted by Natalie Fuller
This house helps us celebrate all that Chatham has to offer--everything from festive Friday night Band Concerts in the center of town to quiet evening paddles out to Pleasant Bay at high tide.
We have owned this house for over 15 years, sometimes renting it out for a few weeks at a time, but often just enjoying it as a family. Now that our kids are grown, we have several weeks available for other families or friends to gather and enjoy.
You will love the quiet neighborhood, the osprey nest across the river from our house, the coziness and cleanliness of the home, and of course, the hot tub. Nothing is better than gazing up at the stars from the warmth of the hot tub.
Why they chose this property
We love taking an evening stroll—first down to the rivers edge to admire the sunset and then later, we like to walk on the quiet road through the neighborhood. We rarely see a car going by, but if we do, we always exchange a friendly wave.
What makes this property unique
This house is 2-4 miles away from most attractions: Hardings Beach, the town center, Lighthouse Beach, to name a few.
The restaurants cannot be beat (but be sure to make reservations!). Our favorites are Del Mar, Pates, Impudent Oyster. And for take-out, we like Mac's.
The house is comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen. Although this property does not get too hot, owing to the breeze and surrounding trees, we recently added central A/C to ensure comfort during the rare days of too much heat.
We promise you will sleep well--the beds are comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet. Only the birds might wake you.
