The amount of money for this apartment unit was over priced!

I would like to start from the beginning we followed gps to find the place and got there and could notfind the house we rented with a beachfront view.so we find the num of the so called house & we find a duplex/appt building&our code works tried to communicate with the host and no answer no parking spaces labeled with our number like everyone else's. Finally we park hoping not to get towed. So we start unpacking and walk in& 1by 1we start smelling this horrible smell I think maybe the water which was not ocean with beautiful waves it was a marsh that stunk BAD So we shut the doors and start picking rooms and exploring &we keep smelling this funky smell I mean a smell that made you sick to your stomach and come to find out it's the garbage disposal so once again no communication from the host finally the next day we get a message that maintenance is on the way. At first we saw roach traps then we start seeing them we were so upset. The description is lies apparently after ten you can't even have the lights on outside so many rules were left out of the description of this place it was not cleaned b4 we arrived it was overall a horrible house experience but we made the best we could of our trip have stayed at more than a few vrbos but this one was definitely not what we are used to the lack of communication showed how much they care and cleanliness should be there top priority. Especially when you exaggerated the property and manipulated the picture.00 stars don’t recommend.

We’re truly disappointed to read this review, especially as it contains several misstatements that do not reflect the experience we aim to provide—or what was communicated in advance. To clarify: The listing does not claim to be beachfront. It accurately states that the property is waterfront on the cove, with the beach located just 2–5 minutes away. Parking information was clearly outlined in the check-in packet sent well in advance of arrival. No contact was made to clarify this upon check-in. At no point during the stay did we receive a message regarding the garbage disposal. Once we were contacted, maintenance was dispatched the very next day. As for the smell mentioned, waterfront homes on a cove or marsh inlet can carry natural scents, especially during certain times of the year—this is outside of anyone’s control and not due to the property itself. Regarding pest control, we proactively place traps as a preventative measure in our climate and area. This is standard for responsible management in coastal environments. The house is professionally cleaned prior to every arrival. If there were any issues, we would have gladly addressed them had we been informed during the stay. Lastly, the outdoor light guidance is part of local community regulations—not arbitrary house rules—and exists to protect wildlife and neighboring properties. While we’re glad you made the most of your trip, it’s important to us that future guests receive accurate information. We remain comm
