About this property

The Oyster House: An artful home nestled in the village of Greenport

A much-loved home welcomes you along with all of the wonders that Greenport has to offer. Within a two block radius you can be feasting on world-class Japanese, French, or one of the amazing raw bars.

The house is situated a jaunty 10 minutes walk from two gorgeous beaches.

Throughout you’ll feel how much care has been invested here - be it the Turkish linens or the restorative new mattresses. Art books, novels, and a projector with all streaming services help to fill an ideal summer.

The master bedroom provides a feeling of serene luxury, while the second bedroom charms equally. The third bedroom has double bunks - perfect for kids or teens or just anyone with a sense of nostalgia and fun.

You will wake up to birdsong.

Enjoy the garden, which features a deck with seating for 8, a new grill, a fire pit, and a hammock.

The kitchen is fully equipped and ready for your brilliance, with a functional gas fireplace and a dining table for 8.

Many New Yorkers will be thrilled to know there’s no need for cars, the house is a five minute walk from the train station and the Jitney. It’s a walking village.

The Oyster House is much like its namesake, it’s a treat.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love instantly with Greenport. The natural beauty, the beaches, the friendly folk, the amazing food scene - it all just appealed to my inner Aussie. It was also important that it was so family friendly, given I have two tween boys.

What makes this property unique

The location of the property is so important, we don't own a car, so being able to walk everywhere is a blessing. The hammock in the yard makes for a perfect lazy day, the beach is always calling, when not dining locally, the kitchen and grill make cooking a joy. It's been built as a home, but is also fully prepared and equipped to welcome guests. All personal effects are stored in the shed over Summer, and a support staff is at hand at all times if needed.
