Sugar Creek Cabin w/ Nordic spa bordering 2 state parks!
Authentic western cedar log cabin surrounded by 6000 acres of old growth forest in every direction! The location is spectacular. You can walk right off of the driveway into Shades State Park and Pine Hills Nature Preserve or take a 10 minute drive to Turkey Run State Park! The area is known as the covered bridge capital of the US with 33 covered bridges within an 18 minute drive. There is a Nordic Spa on site that includes unlimited use of the Saunas, Hot tub, Cold plunge, relax pool and the massage chairs.

Gabe and Liza have a mutual passion for maintaining this unique log cabin. Gabe is a semi-retired airline pilot and Liza psychotherapist and yoga teacher.
Why they chose this property
In 2015 we spent about a year building a small, cozy space for wellness, yoga and recreation in the wilderness of western Indiana. We purchased this log cabin surrounded by 6000 acres of gorgeous old growth forest, rivers, canyons, pure silence and serenity because our vision was to combine Liza's work as a Psychotherapist and Yoga Instructor with Gabe's work as a Naturopathic Doctor specializing in nutrition and wild plants
What makes this property unique
Sugar Creek Retreat is located inside Shades State Park and Pine Hills Nature Preserve. Including the near by Turkey Run State park the area around the cabin is approximately 6000 acres of protected wilderness. The area is also known as the Covered Bridge Capitol of the US and there 32 covered bridges within a 20 minute drive. During the last half of 2024 we added Kuusi (6 spruce trees) Nordic Spa. This new facility is included in the rate. There is a large 12 person sauna, 3 message chairs, a cold room, a relax room, a large relax pool, a large hot tub, a commercial cold plunge, a huge fire cauldron and and an argentenian grill. There is also a float pod sensory deprivation room that can be added for special events.
