Welcome to Pam & Phil’s Acacia itHouse, an eco-friendly and architecturally innovative home, with a modern, open design for panoramic views; strategically built for privacy and optimal sun/shadows. Just five minutes from Pappy & Harriets, Red Dog Saloon, and more. A pure hi desert Pioneertown experience! We are pet friendly, have AC, a cowboy pool for those hot summer days, an outdoor tub for soaking, and an outdoor bed for stargazing, plus a million stars.

The architecture creates a seamless feel between inside and outside which is especially nice when its too cold to be outside. Very easy check in, good communication, well stocked kitchen, great coffee and very hot bath water!

We visited Pioneertown for a concert at Pappy's, for us, a 10-minute drive from the house. We truly enjoyed the home, its location and proximity to the mountains and high desert landscape. We enjoyed sitting in the yard watching the birds by day and appreciating the stars at night. Inside, we loved the modern aesthetic, all the glass sliders, and the cowboy vibe that channeled the lore of the area.The place was comfortable, cozy and with all the amenities that make it a true getaway. Communication with Pam was excellent, the hospitality is top-notch. We'd love to stay again!

We built this house from the ground up starting in 2019. Our original plan was to use it as a short term rental, but have enjoyed staying in the house so much we are only now getting it listed.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Pipes Canyon, the area of Pioneertown where we are situated. The views are stunning and there are always good shows at Pappy and Harriet's.

What makes this property unique

Our property was designed by the architect Linda Taalman, and is called an IT house. The house was designed to be off-grid and is built of glass, cement and aluminum, and runs of solar.

Ours is one of only a few IT houses available for rent.
