About this property

Cozy cabin w/hot tub & fire pit

The Space:

Quiet mountain air greets you as you step onto the deck, the scent of pine mingling with the faint crackle of a nearby fire pit. Inside, the open living area invites you to unwind on plush sofas while the Smart TV flickers with your favorite shows. Outside, the hot tub steams against a backdrop of tall trees, promising soothing evenings after a day of exploring the hills of Romney. This cabin feels like a private retreat where every season feels just right.

Sleeping arrangements

The cabin sleeps seven across two bedrooms and a lower‑level game room. An upper‑level bedroom offers a king bed, while the main‑level bedroom provides two queen beds. The game room includes a twin day bed, perfect for kids or an extra guest. A full bathroom serves the entire space.

Indoor living

A two‑story open floor plan connects the living room, dining area, and game room, creating a natural gathering spot. Heating and air conditioning keep the interior comfortable year‑round, and WiFi is available for streaming or video calls, though service can be slower in this remote setting. The Smart TV and a selection of board games add entertainment options for all ages.

Kitchen & dining

The full kitchen is equipped for everything from quick breakfasts to hearty dinners after a day on the trail. A nearby dining table offers ample room for meals, board games, or relaxed conversation. All essential cookware and utensils are provided.

Outdoor space

Multiple decks overlook private wooded acreage, giving you space to breathe in the mountain scenery. A grill and outdoor seating are ready for al fresco meals when the weather permits. The fire pit is ideal for roasting marshmallows under clear night skies, and the hot tub offers a warm soak surrounded by quiet nature.

Nearby experiences

A short drive brings you to the town of Romney, where local shops and restaurants await. Within easy reach are state parks, scenic railroads, rivers, and mountain destinations such as Timberline Mountain and Canaan Valley Ski Resort, offering year‑round recreation from hiking to winter sports.

Pet policy & practical info

The cabin is pet‑friendly for dogs; cats are not allowed due to allergies. Quiet hours are observed per neighborhood guidelines, and the fire pit must be attended while in use. Cleaning staff sweep decks, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, though you may still notice seasonal leaves or pollen. Enjoy a comfortable, family‑focused mountain stay where nature and comfort meet.

I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.

Why they chose this property

We spent years searching for the perfect getaway, and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and this cabin in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
