About this property

This house is a 2 bedroom(s), 2 bathrooms, located in Cristo Rey Village, Cayo District.

This stunning 2 bedroom home is nestled on a 5 acre parcel of paradise within a private 46 acre jungle sanctuary on the banks of the beautiful Macal River. Enjoy your morning tea or coffee under the large covered terrace whilst watching the toucans and parrots frolicking in the foliage. Ceiling fans and A/C though out. Cable and Wi-Fi too...great for those on a working vacation who do not want to waste any precious holiday time trying to connect.

We are available whenever you need us. I love Belize and I want you to experience this beautiful country the same way I have so am here to assist you with everything "BELIZE"!
I live between San Ignacio / San Pedro with vacation rentals in both places and love to give our guests a quick introduction to town and all the fun stuff once you arrive. If I am on the island than my Assistant will be available to assist you. Should you require anything, you can contact both of us by using the complimentary cell phone I provide for you to use throughout your stay.
If you are looking for accommodations in San Pedro as well please inquire.

Only 4 miles from the heart of San Ignacio along a scenic road that winds through the jungle towards Pine Ridge. Close to the locally owned shops in the village of Cristo Rey and other well known resorts and restaurants ... far enough from San Ignacio's hustle and bustle for peace and quiet yet close to everything you could dream of doing while visiting mainland Belize....think waterfalls, blue swimming holes, Mayan ruins, mountain hikes, cave tubing, zip lining, horseback riding, and even rappelling! Also available are local yoga classes, cooking classes, and we love suggesting and arranging all the fun stuff!

Cecilio, our Caretaker lives in a separate unit on the main floor of the house with his beautiful wife and Co-Host (and cook). Guests have access to the entire upper unit, laundry room, and private terrace as well as the grounds, hiking trails, and direct access to the river.

The upper floor boasts a master bedroom with queen bed and adjoining bath. The guest room provides two single beds with en suite bath. The property's edge is on the banks of the Macal River with full access to the water. You will find your own adventure while exploring the property and it's maze of trails abundant with the flora and fauna of Belize. An ideal destination for bird watching, mountain biking, kayaking, fishing, and nature walks.
It's UnBelizable!

You will definitely want to rent a car while in Cayo. However, for those who would rather go slow, we can hook you up with a local shuttle that goes into town a couple times throughout the day. Buses are available as well.

This was such a lovely house in a jungle setting. Daily my kids hiked the 10-15minutes to the river to play. The caretakers' dogs Cookie and Oreo would follow us. At the river, there are lots of wildlife - small fish, cranes- we even spotted a family of howler monkeys. The caretakers are Irene and Adib and they live downstairs. Irene was also quick to answer questions, or ask around if she did not know answers. She checked in on us when the power went out (only for an hour one night). When we lost water, Adib came with another 5 gallon water tank. The host also sent help to try investigate the loss of water quick. (Apparently this can happen here and there - just unfortunate timing that we were getting ready to go out on an excursion!) Adib also helped my kids get coconuts from the property and harvest the coconut water and meat. The house itself is comfortable. There were fresh fruits and plantain snacks when we arrived. Adib also helped us buy mangoes from San Ignacio market. We might have only cooked one night since we walked to Carm's Restaurant. The only issue was that it took 1 month to get my security deposit. The host admits that it was her mistake and it has never happened before and was very apologetic. So while I highly recommend this place, just check your statement after to make sure everything come through. If not, then contact the host who will work with you.
