The local area: A guided tour of the area can be found on the local municipality website as well as the beaches nearby the nearest of which is 1,000 metres from the villa

Nearby the villa: The villa has breathtaking views of the sea south to Zakinthos and across the bay to Mount Ainos, which reaches 1,628 m (5,100 ft) and is covered by a black forest of indigenous, rare pine trees. Nearby are the beaches of Aghios Thomas, Lourdas, Pesada, Avithos and Lassi each with their own restaurants (the region of Livathos offers many beautiful sandy beaches for those who want to spend quiet and secure holidays). Also nearby is the castle of St George (16th century Venetian castle - the capital of Cephalonia up to 1757) with all round views and clifftop restaurants, Mount Ainos national park and Mazarakata graves (post Minoan). The capital, Argostoli, with shops, restaurants, bars and clubs is 20 minutes drive. Supermarkets are 10 minutes drive away and the nearest village of Spartia with its small stores and the beach, are both 2 minutes drive.

Some island attractions: Other stunning attractions on the island include Melissani lake (underground cave / lagoon near Sami), Drogarati cave (near Sami) and Myrtos beach (spectacular scenery as you approach the beach by using a quaint winding road - it’s worth the effort because when you arrive, you will be struck by the beauty of the spectacular white pebbles lying on the beach).

The Villa could not have been a more perfect center piece of our trip. There was more than enough room for all of us. And the proximity to Spartia beach was the best part as it ended up being our favorite beach of all the ones we visited on the island. We are already trying to figure out the next time we can come back and spend time at this special place.

Fabulous villa, amazing views. Lack of mirrors in the property, only mirrors in the bathrooms & no full length mirrors. The safe was broken on arrival but the host sorted immediately, we also had a plumbing issue but that was sorted immediately as well.

Fabulous stay at this villa - Superb views!

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Villa Eucalypti. Two families with 5 children (12-17). Huge amounts of space inside and outside. Loved the pool and the fabulous panoramic view across the bay. Tennis court was well used (in the evenings) too. 3minute drive to a beautiful sandy beach (also some rock jumping there too).Bedrooms as per the pictures, modern and comfortable and spacious. Great outdoor eating and BBQ area.William the villa manager was incredibly helpful with excellent restaurant recommendations (Olive Lounge and Taverna Odysseas are a must)Private setting with good local amenities.

Fantastic multi family stay

A wonderful property for accommodating multiple families holidaying together. Incredible views, great pool, very effective air conditioning, incredibly helpful property manager. We had a brilliant time and would happily stay again in the same group.

Perfect Reunion

After 25 years 5 couples chose this island and this villa to get together. It could not have worked out better and if I had to built it myself, then this villa would be the result. The hospitality of our hosts was exceptional with no request too big or cumbersome. Thank you William and Nicholas. Six days of pure bliss. It will be hard to beat, we might just be back in 5 years!

Perfect property for a large family holiday

An amazing villa that comfortably accommodated 15 people of 3 generations. The house was fully equipped at a fantastic location with a stunning view sea view. We loved the villa greenery, the pool and tennis court. The property manager Pauline was very helpful before and during our stay. Staying at this villa really made our family holiday spectacular!

Can’t fault the villa. William the villa manager was brilliant, arranged transport, boat trips, dinner reservations. You absolutely need a car and there isn’t much in the local village but enough. Great shop and restaurant / bar. Definitely recommend this place.

Large Family holiday

Beautiful property with lots of space inside and out. Lovely pool area and tennis court plenty of parking, sensational view. Short drive down to local beach ( too arduous a walk in the heat with little ones). Cute little village again walkable without little ones couple of shops and waterholes. We loved it. The manager was super helpful and promptly sorted any problem we had. Would highly recommend.

The Villa was perfect!

I was nervous about selecting a Villa for my family of 14 due to individual needs, preferences and expectations. This Villa was great. In fact, it was nicer than the description and photos found on line. There are two floors. The upper level boasts of four nice size bedrooms with on suite bathrooms, a large kitchen and living room which overlook the sea and other islands. The lower level has two large bedrooms with bunk beds and enough room for kids to play. There is a washer/dryer and an extra frig as well. We also found tennis rackets, snorkel equipment, bocce sets. Our family even contributed 2 beach chairs! The grounds of the villa are great! We ate all our meals at a lovely large table outside under a covered patio. There is a nice size pool with lounge chairs for sunbathing. The view is again spectacular. On the lower level grounds, there’s a tennis court which could use some updating but is fine to play on. Next to the court is a grassy area, great for bocce or boules or to kick around a soccer ball. Across from the villa is a cute gift shop. The village of Spatia have a few eateries and two small markets all within walking distance if you don’t mind hills. The Sandy beach is a five minute drive or a 15 minute walk down hill. It has a lovely taverna where we frequently ate. The owner of the villa is marvelous to deal with. And, the caretakers are lovely and accommodating. All in all, we had a fabulous experience which was a relief for me, the organizer.

Fantastic Summer Holiday - Second Visit

This was our group’s second visit to Villa Eucalypti, the first back in 2018. It’s a wonderful villa in an amazing location over-looking the Ionian Sea. The pool is huge and you’re only a short walk/drive from Spartia Beach and the restaurants in and around the town of Spartia. A highly recommended property.

Perfect place for a holiday

We were three families, kids from 3 to 12, altogether 13 people. The house was excellent for us. Enough room for everyone, well equipped, good ac, nice pool and a tennis court. The views were magnificent! The closest beach was 3 min drive or 15min walk, really nice small beach with both sand and rock, with also a couple of restaurants. A special recommendation to a quiet Amandakis beach (8min by car) with nice snorkeling and cliff jumping! The food in the restaurant in the village was nice (Cava Liekas) and also can recommend the one near the beach (Isolas). About reaching the island: If you arrive to Kefalonia from the main land, take into account that the ferry from Kyllini takes 1,5h (Levante ferries) and goes 4 times a day - our flights from Athens weren’t the best possible and we had to leave a day earlier to catch the flight. On the week that we visited, the price was high, but if it seems ok for you, it is definitely worth it.

Kefalonia escape.

We had a much needed week in the sun booked very last minute due to all the Covid challenges. Nicolas and Paulina were more than helpful in responding to our many questions. The villa is fabulous for a large group of three families. Lots of space inside and outside meant that it never felt crowded for our group of 11. The tennis court was a great addition also. You need a car but we explored local beaches and restaurants in the village and further afield. A beautiful island. Unspoilt and a great escape. Def recommend.

Amazing villa in incredible surroundings

We have over the last 2 decades tried many villas around the world. Villa Eucalypti is until now our best experience. The villa has a unique location with a stunning view, walking distance to a nice beach and to a couple of tavernas. However the walking distance is (especially for the beach) quite hilly. The villa is well equipped, and evrything is working properly. Staff was kind and helpfull. We would love to come back, and we can give this villa our very best recommendations

Stunning Villa with amazing views.

It was our first time in Kefalonia and we loved both the Island and the Villa. The Villa is extremely well equipped and laid out. The rooms on the lower levels are perfect for teenagers (we had 6 teenagers and 4 Adults). The views from the ground floor are stunning. The outside space with the pool, tennis court and huge garden were perfect,We had such fun times out there.The manager of the property a lady called Pauline is wonderful, she is very friendly ,full of useful information and efficient. The beach is a 5 minute drive which you could walk but it's uphill on the way back and can be tiring on a hot day. There is a fantastic restaurant up in the centre of the village which served delicious food at a very reasonable price. There was also lots of great beaches to visit, some with water sports/ sailing. Also the owner Nicholas was very approachable and responded well to emails/ enquires We would definitely recommend it and will hope to return again to the villa very soon. . The Kirwan's

Four Generation Holiday in a stunning location.

We were a four generation family comprising of 8 adults and 8 children (aged 6 to 13). This house was stunning. The moment we walked through the front door to the most outstanding view across the south of the Island we knew we were going to be incredibly spoilt. We were not disappointed. The facilities were superb and the layout of the house with the kids in two extremely large bedrooms downstairs on the ground floor worked really well. The house felt constantly spacious despite there being 16 of us. The area was perfect for exploring all that Kefalonia has to offer and actually the walk down the hill through the trees to the local beach took some beating. We were swimming with the turtles on our doorstep! The house was spotless and well equipped and Pauline welcomed us on our arrival and was very kind and showed us around. The tennis court held many a tournament with children and adults. The nearby village has two shops one very friendly modern one attached to a bar and the other a more traditional greek shop. The larger supermarkets are only a 15 minute drive away. There are a couple of local restaurants that are well worth a visit (in the village and down by the beach). We really had the most fantastic time in beautiful unspoilt Kefalonia with all its friendly locals. No faults only positives. Book it Now!

Great Vacation Time in Kefalonia!

A great country... a beautiful island and an AMAZING VILLA! We had a great vacation time in Kefalonia! This very beautiful and spacious house is perfect for large groups. We spent 2 weeks there during summer 2012 and we were 4 families: 8 adults and 10 kids! (Age span for kids going from 9 to 1) One of the first things you will notice is the view over the sea. You get it from any room of the house and we loved it. All the amenities are very modern, especially the terrace and the swimming pool which are purely outstanding! We enjoyed playing tennis every day. The air conditioning is great, which is a good thing considering the heat and … mosquitos. The kitchen amenities and globally the furniture in the house are nearly all new. We had a wonderful time; everything was easy, convenient and beautiful. (Special thanks to Paulina ;-) Enjoy!

Fantastic modern villa for large groups

14 of us stayed in this superb villa during August 2011. We were an extended family group, with ages ranging from 1 to 78, and we couldn't have wished for more! The villa layout was ideal for us (we were 4 families), all the children were downstairs in the 2 fantastic bunk rooms and the 4 couples had a double room each (2 of which were spacious with fantastic views, the third slightly smaller with a view, and the fourth not so spacious with no view, so it's a case of drawing straws for these!). All the rooms had lovely modern bathrooms/shower rooms and lots of storage space. The living room had the same spectacular view over the sea and Mount Ainos (incidentally, the nighest mountain in the Ionians) and the open plan kitchen was very well equipped. We ate outside at the massive shaded table on the patio and used the BBQ (gas) on the evenings. (Had some lovely fresh fish from the market in Argostoli!). The pool was a great hit, especially with the children, (the adults were usually to be found on the comfortable loungers and hammocks around the pool!) and the tennis court got a lot of use (but only early morning and evening unless you want to melt!). There were balls and tennis raquets to borrow, although bring your own raquets if you're a keen player! Less strenuous, but equally as enjoyable, there was also a petanque (boules) pitch and a set of metal boules. Also a cupboard with games inside, including Scrabble (even my 15 year old got keen!) and back gammon. We loved Kefalonia, it's very beautiful and unspoilt; and even in August, didn't seem too busy. We especially liked Argostoli and if you go in the morning, you can see turtle swimming in the harbour by the fishing boats. The Waterways beach and restaurant are walkable from the villa, but both were rather disappointing. Instead, get in your car for 5 minutes (or walk if you're energetic) and there's a beautiful sandy, quiet beach to the west of the villa (Pauline recommended it, and will be able to give you full details!). So many thanks to Nick for letting out your great holiday home and also to Pauline and Malcolm for all your help and advice during our stay.

USA Get-Together

16 of my U.S. friends and family stayed at this lovely villa in late June 2011. We were more than pleased with the accuracy of the description, the communication with the owner, the location, the hospitality of the village residents ... etc. The view off the balcony is spectacular. The kitchen was more than adequately equipped. The pool and tennis courts are great. Seriously, nothing negative to say. If you are traveling with children, we were particularly pleased with the 2 bedrooms on the lower level - each with 4 bunk beds. We got great use out of the outside BBQ grill and table which seats 20! Kefallonia is a beautiful and relatively undiscovered island full of natural beauty and tranquility. We highly recommend visiting Myrtos beach - as well as the custom catamaran trip with the owner's friends. Nothing about our experience was disappointing. We were 100% pleased and lucky to have found this villa! This villa was well liked by the children and adults - and will always kindle fond memories for our group. Thank you Nick & Pauline!
