Welcome to our cozy retreat in Homer, just across the street from Kachemak Bay and only 2 miles from the famous Homer Spit. Just steps from your door you will enjoy daily sightings of soaring bald eagles, and the peaceful presence of moose, owls, and rabbits. Our property is also home to friendly chickens, and guests are welcome to enjoy fresh eggs during their stay. Whether you’re seeking adventure or relaxation, our place offers a unique and authentic Alaskan experience.
This stylish and comfortable two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment is located on the lower level of a two-unit home and features its own private entrance through charming French doors.
Inside, the primary bedroom offers a king-size bed, ideal for restful nights after a day of exploring. The second bedroom is thoughtfully set up to accommodate a variety of guests, featuring both a queen and a twin bed, comfortably sleeping up to three. This room also includes a Samsung all-in-one washer/dryer combo for use during your stay. Please note that, as with most combo units, wash and dry cycles take longer than a traditional washer and dryer, and the unit is connected to a drain pump, so it can be heard while operating. A large window fills the room with natural light and offers the opportunity to watch for local Alaskan wildlife, while room-darkening curtains help ensure a restful night’s sleep during Alaska’s famous midnight sun.
The living room offers additional sleeping space with a high-quality queen-size sofa bed, complete with a mattress topper for extra comfort. The space also features a 65” smart television with popular streaming apps pre-downloaded. Guests will need to log into their own streaming accounts to access content, as only minimal free programming is available on the TV.
The bathroom is thoughtfully designed with a large corner shower, bidet toilet, full-size vanity, and towel warmer. A hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided for your convenience.

We chose this property because it offers exactly what we love most about Homer: a front-row seat to Kachemak Bay and the natural beauty that makes this area so special. Being just across the street from the water means we’re surrounded by wildlife year-round, eagles soaring overhead, moose wandering through, and even the occasional bear sighting. The view of the bay is simply beautiful, changing with the light, the tides, and the weather.
