About this property
Dreamy Tudor Cottage in Ballard; 86 Walk Score!
Beachside bonfires at Golden Gardens. Watching the salmon navigate their way to their spawning grounds via the Ballard locks. Ballard, once known as Shingletown for its residents’ aptitude for producing cedar shingles, is home to some of the best restaurants, bars, & music venues in the city. Located steps from some such eateries & just a block from a direct route downtown via bus line, our Tudor sanctuary has you covered if you’re in the market for a real Seattle experience.

Access to turfed backyard with several seating areas and cornhole boards (seasonal)
-SECOND FLOOR-
Primary bedroom: king bed, dresser, small closet, luggage rack
Secondary bedroom: Queen bed, large closet, luggage rack
Bathroom with shower and tub
Open and uncluttered, the space is airy and comfortable with sun-dappled views of mature Japanese maples. It doesn’t get much more Seattle than an urban Tudor in one of our older neighborhoods. Please use the recommendations you’ll find in the house for restaurants and things to do! There are so many wonderful things to eat, do, and see nearby.
The mattresses in the bedroom are LOVELY - high quality memory foam. Mini-split heating/cooling system allows you to control the temp separately for the two floors so you can stay super cozy all night long.
FYI there are about 12 stairs from the sidewalk to the front door and the bathroom is located on the second floor. While families of all types are welcome, we do not have high chairs available or child-proofing of any kind. Parties are prohibited.
Need more space? Check out the listing for the downstairs unit where an additional four guests can be accommodated.
We provide coffee for your first morning in town but you’ll want to pick up a bag of ground coffee for the drip machine and/or French press for the rest of your stay.
Please keep in mind that this is an older home with less than ideal insulation between this unit and the unit below. We ask that shoes be removed upon entry and tv and/or music volume be kept low at all times. Quiet hours start at 10pm, both indoor and outdoor. Smoking legal substances is perfectly fine in the backyard but no smoking or vaping in the house. Note to chefs and wannabe chefs - please use the vent above the stove while cooking. The smoke alarms are connected throughout the whole house so if one goes off the whole house will beep, including the unit below.
Your pets are adorable but please leave them at home. Also, driveway is shared with the neighbor so please park on the street - always plenty of spots available!

About the host
Hosted by Tony Scartozzi

I’m a longtime Seattle resident who takes pride in creating inviting, well-designed spaces for people to enjoy. Hosting allows me to combine my love of hospitality with my background in local knowledge—helping guests feel at home while experiencing the best of the city. Whether you’re visiting for a weekend getaway or a longer stay, I strive to make your experience seamless, comfortable, and memorable.
Why they chose this property
Ballard is one of Seattle’s most beloved neighborhoods. It has a rich Scandinavian heritage, vibrant food scene, charming boutiques, and incredible access to the outdoors. I love how you can spend the morning at the Ballard Farmers Market, enjoy fresh oysters by the water in the afternoon, and take a peaceful sunset stroll along the Locks or Golden Gardens. The property is also just two blocks from some of my favorite local spots: Delancey’s (amazing wood-fired pizza), Rosellini’s (incredible pastries), Tarasco (a cozy Mexican spot with karaoke), and Frankie & Jo’s (delicious plant-based ice cream). It’s a perfect mix of local flavor and laid-back charm.
What makes this property unique
This property is more than just a place to stay—it’s a thoughtfully curated retreat. Located on a quiet, tree-lined street, the home blends modern comfort with cozy touches that reflect the character of the neighborhood. From the relaxing outdoor seating area to the light-filled interior, every detail has been designed to feel welcoming and functional. And with Ballard’s best pizza, pastries, ice cream, and even karaoke just two blocks away, guests truly get to enjoy a local experience right outside the door.
