WHERE WE ARE:
Solcio di Lesa is located on Lake Maggiore, 60 km from Milan, in a magnificent inlet between Meina and Lesa (the Gulf of Solcio), 1 km from Lesa and just 10 minutes by car from both Arona and Stresa. In Stresa, the classical music and jazz concerts organised from July to September (dates to be defined) as part of the famous Stresa Festival are not to be missed.
A short distance from the flat is the Solcio marina where it is possible to hire sailing or motor boats and/or practice Wakeboarding (a dynamic and fun sport). Golf courses are within 9 km.
OUR HOLIDAY FLAT:
The fully furnished 80 sqm flat is located on the second floor in a complex of mini-apartments overlooking the lake, 50 m from the lake; it has a large, bright living room from which you can access the terrace overlooking the marina; the terrace is equipped with table and chairs so you can have delicious breakfasts as well as tasty lunches and dinners in total relaxation and privacy.
In the living room, which has a large window with a lake view, there is a double sofa bed, three comfortable armchairs, a bookcase stocked with books in Italian, English, French and German, a television and a dining table for six people.
The kitchen has been recently renovated and is equipped with an induction hob, electric oven, microwave oven, refrigerator with freezer, set of cooking pans, coffee maker (moka), Minipimer 5 Vario Multiquick (blends, chops, whips); kitchen scales and 8 kg washing machine.
The bedroom has a large window so it is very bright and spacious: it comfortably fits a double bed, a bunk bed and a 5-door wardrobe; in summer the room is pleasantly cool (there is a fan if needed!). electrical sockets near the beds.
The bathroom has a window, and there is toilet, shower and bidet.
In the storeroom we collect the terrace umbrella, deck chairs, hoover, brooms and cleaning products, clothesline, iron, ironing board, fan.
Free car parking is available in the fenced communal garden.
The flat is on the 2nd floor, no lift. The staircase to the flat is very comfortable, in total there are 40 steps.
Maximum occupancy: 5 people.
SLEEPING ACCOMMODATIONS: in the bedroom 1 double bed and 1 bunk bed; in the living room 1 sofa bed x 2 persons ( Mattress cm142x195).
SHEETS and TOWELS: We provide one set of towels per guest (personal, face and shower). There is no weekly change. Bed linen and towels provided at an extra charge of EUR 15 per person.
One small pet is allowed (please enquire before booking) and a supplement of €20 is required for the entire stay.

At the harbour, the fishermen's kiosk is the ideal stop to buy fresh fish from the lake caught by the Cooperativa Pescatori di Solcio (Solcio Fishermen's Cooperative) or to enjoy a freshly cooked fried fish. Also within a 100-metre radius there are 2 Pizzeria and 4 Restaurants where you can taste lake fish dishes and drink good wine.

A short presentation of Solcio di Lesa:
SOLCIO di Lesa is located on the Piedmont shore of Lake Maggiore between Meina and Lesa. It is a small fishing village with a medieval feel, with narrow, stepped alleys and a picturesque harbour that the luxury yachts moored there resemble a seaside resort. It is home to the Cantieri Nautici di Solcio, which sells and repairs and rents out motor boats for pleasure boating.
In Solcio there is the fish hatchery established with the aim of encouraging the reproduction of traditional fish species present in Lake Maggiore.
The 19th-century church of S. Rocco, built on a 17th-century oratory, houses valuable works of art and has a mosaic by Giovanni Sgorlon on its façade.
Siro Penagini (1885-1952), an important avant-garde exponent of 20th-century Italian figurative art, lived and worked in Solcio.
Wandering through the narrow streets of the old town centre, you reach the churchyard of the Oratory of St. Anthony, from which there is an excellent view of the Gulf below.

For those who are not trained in trekking but wish to walk safely, I recommend the new pedestrian link between Solcio di Lesa, Lesa and Belgirate: a very pleasant walk!
