This was our 5th stay at SunnyCove and we all had a wonderful time yet again! Dave is an excellent host and there have been many updates to the home since our last visit. This home is in an idyllic, peaceful location, yet close to all of the attractions of Lake Placid. We care for this home as if it were our own and can't wait to return!
In the interest of full disclosure, this was our second stay at the property, so,,,, we obviously thought that it was great! The deck above the boathouse was perfect. A great way to spend the afternoon!Basically everything was great, and David was easy to communicate with a very ressponsive.
Absolutely amazing house and property. Had an amazing weekend with friends, it was perfect. Pictures do not do it justice. Highly recommend to anyone staying in Lake Placid
Great house for multigenerational family. Easy access to the water. Had family members age 4 to 82 and everyone had a blast! Beautiful view of the lake. We really enjoyed the large sun deck on the boat house as well as the covered porch for rainy days.
Our extended family has been coming to Sunny Cove for over 5 years now and it continues to deliver year after year. The location is amazing. The house easily accommodated all 14 of us.Check in was simple and seamless. The kitchen was able to handle large dinners that we cooked for ourselves each night. There was plenty of plate ware, glasses, and silverware.Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our stay at sunny over very much .Great location on lake and to town.Beautiful views from property and boat house very quiet and relaxing will stay again in future
This was our 4th stay at Camp SunnyCove and we had an absolutely wonderful vacation. It is truly one of the most peaceful, beautiful, and private locations we have ever traveled. Dave has always been a pleasure to work with and the house feels like a home--We treat it like our own and are sad to leave each time. Looking forward to returning!
We had a fantastic time! Only a couple minor glitches that Dave took care of immediately (we ran out of propane for the grill and one of the coffee makers died). I would absolutely recommend this property, in fact we may try to rent it again next year.
This was our fourth year at Sunny Cove and it continues to be my family's favorite trip of the year. The location is beautiful, the house is well-maintained and spacious, and Dave is a great host. Highly recommend!

Great camp for a large group!
Camp SunnyCove was perfect for our group of 18. Ideal location on the lake, and within walking distance to trails and town. We enjoyed fires in the fire pit every night and spent lots of time on the lake with the kayaks and paddle boards that were provided. Owner is fantastic and quick to respond to questions. Would definitely go back!
Property is in a nice quiet location on Lake Placid. Very roomy and pleasant. Hallways were a little dark and could use some lighting. Could also use a few more kitchen amenities such as serving spoons but overall it was a very pleasant stay.
This is our 19th year getting together for our annual fall friends getaway. We have stayed at many amazing homes/locations and Camp Sunny Cove is outstanding. The views and location of the property are second to none. The property is secluded providing privacy and the views of Lake Placid are picturesque. My group of 10 all had plenty of room and the beds were comfortable. The owner, Dave Webb, was quick to answer any questions and concerns. He is definitely a 5 star owner.
Our group of three adults and two teens thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunny Cove! The house has an authentic Adirondack vibe with a modern kitchen and super comfy beds. We particularly loved the swimming dock where there was a lot of cannon ball jumping into the refreshing lake water. We also very much enjoyed the deck atop the boathouse for peaceful early mornings with a cup of coffee. BTW, the lake was the perfect temperature. I was afraid it would be chilly during an early July stay but it wasn't at all. We hope to visit again (and again)!
Quiet. Tranquil. Awesome setting in a Cove. Boat traffic minimal and lots of room for the kids to play on there SUP’s and swim. No issues at all. Lovely home. Family friendly. Host was extremely accommodating and always available and helpful. Great place to “get away from the world”.
The house is wonderful! Large and sprawling! So many bedroom ms and bathrooms! The play set foe our grandkids was wonderful! The Lake is so beautiful there and we swam and used kayaks and paddle boards. The sundeck was our hang out spot. The only problem for me was the lack of cell and texting service. At the hate tocthe property, it was fine. was
We had a great week at Sunny Cove. Perfect size for family group of 14. Plenty of room on the lawn for games, quick access to running trails, fun on the water with what the rental has and easy to rent a boat and dock it under the boathouse. Lots of outdoor space and furniture to relax and the kitchen and outdoor grill were a good size to cook large meals. Property manager Dave is quick to respond to questions and easy to work with. The only thing we wished for but didn't have was one more queen bed instead of one of the doubles!
An amazing location, large house with plenty of room for people to spread out. The boathouse deck and the dock had incredible views. Dave was a pleasure to communicate with. The option to use one of the boat slips is a great resource - one note that the water depth is shallow in the bay, which would make it difficult for boats with a deep draft - we ended up not renting a boat for the weekend and used the kayaks and paddleboards instead, which worked out perfectly for us. We would love to return to Sunny Cove again soon!

Serenity
These words describe our experience at Camp Sunnycove: peaceful, relaxing, spiritual, rejuvenating, and joyful. We celebrated my 50th birthday with family and friends and found Camp Sunnycove ideal for such a gathering. There was plenty of room to accommodate everyone and the layout of the house provided privacy as well as space to gather as a group. And the views were phenomenal both from the Master Suite and the boathouse deck. We spent most of our time either relaxing by the fire or watching the loons as they swam close to the dock. Great memories and excellent response from Jenn the owner to whatever we needed. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at Camp Sunnycove and highly recommend it to others looking for a great getaway!
