Escape to this remote cabin in picturesque Lansing. Remote, but accessible cabin in the woods of Appalachia, NC. Wake up to quiet, birds, pond, running creek and internal peace. You will have full access to a Utility vehicle for transport on parts of my nearly 200 acre property and up the private road to your vehicle to be parked on my ridge line. Fully equipped kitchen and bath. Sofa bed with additional 6" topper mattress and pull down sleeping loft if preferred. Cabin powered by solar and propane with a full wood stove for your pleasure. Gazebo at pond for work and relaxation. Blow up secure boat for graceful float on pond.
Two and a half hours from Charlotte, NC and you will be in the heart of the southern Appalachian mountains surrounded by beauty and easy access to West Jefferson, NC for major shops, music, art, services and supplies. Cell service available in cabin. Wi-Fi is available at my home in a private space for you on my property (about 1000 meters from cabin.)
Appalachian Trail Head to Mt. Rogers is 10 miles away. VA Creeper Trail Head at White Top Mountain is 6 miles away. Grayson Highlands State Park about 12 miles away. Town of Lansing is 7 miles from my property which is revitalizing following the devastation from Hurricane Helene. The cidery and General Store (wine, music, coffee,) are open as are a few shops and laundromat.
This amazing cabin, available for oneweek or longer stays, is the ideal spot for guests seeking a peaceful escape, especially writers and artists who need utter privacy and peace.
