About this property
Idyllic 1-bedroom house by beautiful stream in lovely Vermont forest
A peaceful retreat awaits you at this 1-bedroom house in Brookline. Surrounded by 5 acres of land, with a beautiful yard in the middle of the forest, this country home is a nature lover's paradise. Spend the day lying in the hammock listening to bird song and the gurgling brook. The rustic wooden house has two open floors. A combined bedroom and office space upstairs offers a queen size bed and multiple windows with views into the yard, forest and brook. The bathroom downstairs has a shower and bathtub, sink and toilet. The ground floor is divided into a living space with two sofas and views into the forest and an open kitchen and a dining room. The kitchen has a gas stove, a kettle for making tea and coffee and a large sink. There is a French press for coffee and an espresso machine. There is no dishwasher. Laundry and dryer are in the basement. A heat pump keeps the air cool and dry in the humid Vermont summer months. The property has several smaller structures, a tool shed that can be converted to a yoga studio, a barn that serves as a garage and a smaller shed that can be used for trash and storage. There are several towns within a 30min drive for shopping and dining and multiple pristine swimming holes in the area. The place is ideal for a single person or a couple without children who are looking to escape the hustle of the city and spend a few quiet months over the summer to relax and recharge.
