Travelling with another couple and we each had our own large bedroom!Large separate living room too. Kitchen was beautiful and well stocked. Close to downtown Halifax for daytime activities. Thanks
Absolutely wonderful, clean quiet and didn't need to bring anything..plates, bowls, cooking stuff including spices. First time booking with VRBO very impressed
The apartment was lacking in some basic maintenance. Loose electrical outlet in the bedroom and not cover on it. Fan in the bathroom did not work and hung down form the ceiling. Main door to enter the apartment was missing a screw to keep it tight. Shower knob was also loose and the dryer door was broken.

The kitchen was very nicely equipped. We never saw the hosts although we heard quite a bit of activity upstairs. No house number matching the listing was evident so it was a little uncomfortable approaching the place. It was clear the place was newly built out as there was a box of building material in the corner of the kitchen and some outlet covers were missing. It was very warm and stuffy when we arrived but was fine after we left the door open for a while. This has potential for being a very pleasant accommodation once it’s finished. However, it’s not near anything of interest and is overpriced.
The property was just as good as expected.Of course, it doesn't mean that everything was 100% perfect.Me and my colleagues didn't mind, but some may not like it, so here are some goods and bads about this property for everyone else.Goods:1) Spacious space2) Fast and easily accessible Wi-Fi.3) Well maintained kitchen. Free cereal was available (I didn't know, I brought my own).4) Kind host, readily responding to chats.5) Unlimited (?) hot water coming out of shower. Sometimes 4-star hotels fail to provide hot water by the time third person take shower in the morning, but this property had hot water keeping coming out.Potentially Bads:1) Traffic - mostly ok, but sometimes jammed unnecessarily, due to having only one road leading to the place. One accident may cause massive traffic jam, as we had one out of five days of stay.2) Washroom's exhaust fan wasn't working.3) Quite hours was after 11 PM. We didn't mind because we didn't go to bed until midnight, but some other guests may mind.

There is no real address marked on the house. It is actually the basement of 10 Sarah dr. The entry is very tricky, there are 2 steps down to a "pit" to get to the front door. You have to leave the humidifiers going or the floors get wet and sticky. There is no A/C. The smoke alarm went off at 6am, it wouldn't have been so bad, those things happen, but obviously someone knew about it because when it was going off, we didn't find it on the ceiling, it was on top of the refrigerator. Probably won't be back. Just not our kind of thing.
Great location! Close to downtown Halifax, with grocery stores, restaurants, and other spots a few minutes away! The house was clean and the beds were comfy!
Great place to stay. Very clean and spacious. Use of all amenities. Easy to contact host via the Vrbo app. Good Location. Not far from downtown Halifax. Highly recommend if you are looking for a place to stay.
Great basement suite. Very clean and had all the amenities we needed. Beds were very comfortable including the sofa bed. Communication with host was great. Would highly recommend and would stay again.
Lovely property that well suited our needs, very comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. Only issue was the parking as it is a small area off the main driveway on the front lawn. Best access is via the main drive because of the deep curb from the road, which I definitely did not want to attempt in a rental. However there were cars were parked in the driveway right up to the roadway every morning so getting out of the parking to avoid the curb is very challenging. The roadway has no parking signs on it so not an alternative option.

Host responded quickly, provided information upon clarification requests, provided photos, set up the additional sleeping arrangement, linens and towels appeared to be clean, livingroom sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable. 20-30mins away from university. Poor air quality no ventilation. Was advised unit was professionally cleaned between renters, but cowebs, thick dust in bathroom vent, dead spiders, greasy residue on microwave, food crumbs in the livingroom futon, old receipts, dust under beds, etc were clearly visible in the unit - several of the guests ended up with bloody noses and headaches. Some outlets were not working some were taped with green painters tape. Microwave had no apparent ventilation burnt marks on upper cabinets - did not use Did not use microwave, stove, dishwasher, washing machine or dryer. Damp, mold, mildew smell throughout the unit especially in kitchen dining room and bathroom area . Dehumidifiers were provided in the livingroom and kitchen dining area that had to be emptied every couple of hours. Small Parking space on front lawn - does not fit full size vehicle ie van, suv, truck. Unsafe driveway and stairs leading to the lower unit blocked by a parked car. Only one small mirror in bathroom. Very loud overhead unit, no insulation between upper and lower unit, could not get any sleep in between the hours of 2am - 8am, even though the host requested vacationers to adhere to the quiet time rule. Very loud stomping, talking, moving of furniture.

Good space for the family. Full kitchen, laundry, wifi, clean towels and bedding. Good communication with the host. Good, quiet location on a dead end street. Our only issue was the cockroaches. The first night, I saw one, just thought it was a beetle as I have never seen a cockroach in the wild before. The second night, I killed about a dozen in the kitchen. The third night, my kid killed 5 in their bedroom and I saw a few more in the kitchen. I advised the host and was told he had never been advised or seen cockroaches in the suite. He called an exterminator to take care of it when we checked out. I did not ask for a partial refund and one was not offered. If staying here, have the host check for bugs before check in.
