About this property
NEW 3BR Seconds to Blue Ridge Parkway-Cozy & Comfy
Summary:
Welcome to Grandma’s House — and no, she’s not here, so you can stay up late and eat cookies in bed.
Tucked just off the legendary Blue Ridge Parkway, this charming 3-bedroom, 1-bath hideaway sits on 1.3 acres of peaceful, wooded privacy—just close enough to civilization to grab tacos and a craft beer, and just far enough to forget your email password. Classic, cozy, and a little bit cheeky, it’s the perfect basecamp for mountain adventures or laid-back lounging.
The Space:
Grandma’s House is warm, welcoming, and just quirky enough to keep things interesting—kind of like Grandma herself.
Inside, you’ll find three comfy bedrooms, a sunny living room with a Smart TV (log into your favorite streaming apps and pretend you’re "just watching one more episode"), and a kitchen that’s fully equipped for everything from pancake breakfasts to late-night snacks. The bathroom is clean, simple, and charmingly retro—just enough to feel cozy, not dated.
Need to get a little work done or just want to post scenic selfies to make your friends jealous? No problem—high-speed Wi-Fi keeps you connected (but not too connected, because hey, you’re in the mountains).
Outside, enjoy 1.3 private acres with plenty of space to roam, nap, or let the kids burn off marshmallow energy. Fire up the backyard barbecue grill, dine under the trees, and unwind with a cold drink as the sun sets behind the Blue Ridge. If you’re lucky, you might even catch a deer wandering by or a chorus of frogs serenading your evening.
Whether you're road-tripping the Parkway, exploring Roanoke, or just enjoying some good old-fashioned porch-sitting, Grandma’s House is your perfect home base—no housecoat required.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full house
The Neighborhood:
Grandma’s House is tucked into a peaceful pocket on the south side of Roanoke, just a stone’s throw from the scenic intersection of Route 220 and the Blue Ridge Parkway. It’s the kind of place where the birds chirp, the air smells like trees, and the mountains always seem to wave hello.
You’ll feel worlds away from the bustle, but in reality, you’re just a short drive from downtown Roanoke with its buzzing food scene, breweries, coffee shops, and weekend farmers markets. Need groceries, gas, or emergency snacks? You're less than 10 minutes from all the essentials.
Outdoor lovers will be spoiled for choice with hiking, biking, and scenic overlooks all within easy reach. Head north for culture and cocktails, or south for waterfalls and winding trails—the neighborhood gives you easy access to both adventure and convenience.
Whether you're here to explore or just unwind, this quiet part of town is the perfect starting point for whatever pace suits you.
Other Things to Note:
Please note that the home is located directly off US 220, so there is potential for road noise at all times.
Reservations of 90 days or more require a signed lease agreement prior to the start of the stay. We will send this lease to you immediately after booking. Please message us if you are interested in reviewing this lease prior to booking.
