Great location for easy access to Chimney Rock,

Property is nicely situated in peivate wooded location in neighborhood. Loved the porch. Great for enjoying tea in morning, reading in afternoon and grilling dinner. Owners were wonderful. Great communication and supplied everything needed plus extra touches that made the stay special.

Adorable Cottage

The cottage is adorable and sits back in the trees. It has a great outdoor space. Sadly the weather didn't cooperate where we could use it more. There were delicious muffins awaiting when we arrived. Great stay.

Sweet Seclusion

Our stay was absolutely fantastic. David and Arlene are WONDERFUL hosts!! The cabin was beautiful. The colors, the decor, the FLOORS!! Our hosts were helpful with food and sightseeing suggestions. It was our anniversary and they made it special. The location is great if you want to explore Asheville or Chimney Rock. We HIGHLY recommend this property and the hosts for anyone visiting Hendersonville!!

Wonderful cottage/thoughtful hosts!

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was exactly as described and the owners put a lot of thought and details into making it a great place to stay. We were greeted by David and Arlene in the driveway and they showed us around and had fresh local muffins for us on the kitchens table. It was a great location and David was easy to reach by text or phone for any questions. I was looking for a pet friendly location and my 2 labs Buddy and Chloe enjoyed their stay too! I would definitely recommend staying here!

Girls weekend

I had friends visiting the Asheville area so decided to visit them. Wanted to stay in the beautiful mountain area rather than the city. This was a great find! Fairly remote but still close to everything we wanted. Great amenities. Great, helpful hosts! I'll be back!

Cozy Cottage Getaway

David and Arlene have an amazing cottage! It was cozy, clean, and a relaxing space overall. My husband and I loved the outdoor space! Great deck/patio and really big yard, which was perfect for our little puppy, Moose! David and Arlene are so welcoming - they greeted us at the gate and had muffins for us at the cottage, along with a sweet note. We hope to stay here again!

A wonderful stay

Our visit was made much more enjoyable by the hospitality offered by David. He and his wife thought about every small detail to set this rental apart from others. The cabin was beautifully decorated and had all kinds of creature comforts, like coffee, tea, and snacks. Outside the property is very bucolic and our dog loved running around the open field. It was very apparent that our hosts were available to us for any questions and they wanted our stay to be a fantastic experience. It will be our first choice the next time we are staying in the area.

So relaxing

What a beautiful, well maintained cottage. The owners think of everything right down to wonderful muffins to enjoy. They have the best little porch to relax on and watch the birds and the fire pit was great, too. We didn’t need to venture out much cause we enjoyed relaxing at the cottage so much. We so enjoyed sitting out every night enjoying the stars, I even saw 3 shooting stars, one of my wishes was to come back again soon. If you want a relaxing place, this is it. Thank you Arlene and David for letting us use your place and hope you’ll let us come again.

Apple Country Paradise

David and Arlene have created a little paradise in Apple country. When on vacation we usually don’t plan on spending a lot of time where we’re staying but this place was so warm and welcoming that I found myself slowing down and enjoying the scenery. From the warm welcome and delicious muffins, David and Arlene are the best hosts who were always ready to help and available without being intrusive. We enjoyed the wood burning stove and zen fireplace. Their attention to detail went above and beyond expectations, they really thought of everything from toiletries to coffee and cozy blankets. It’s about 40 minutes from Asheville. The blue ridge parkway is just moments away with lots of hiking and waterfalls to enjoy. We enjoyed downtown Hendersonville and the orchards of Apple country. If you’re looking for a weekend getaway to unwind we highly recommend this cottage!

Perfect getaway

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this location and the hosts. David and Arlene are very gracious, generous and thoughtful. The location is beautiful and quiet in lovely apple orchard country. The home is completely remodeled and beautiful and the hosts provided everything we needed for a perfect relaxing getaway. They greeted us warmly upon arrival. We felt like guests of honor. There were fresh flowers and yummy muffins with a personal note on the table. Coffee and teas, full kitchen, Great info on lots of local restaurants and entertainment. The shower was wonderful, excellent water pressure. The beds are comfy, lots of sitting arrangements inside and out to accommodate any preference. I took several restful naps. We enjoyed a fire and stargazing. It was really hard to leave. Thank for everything! We look forward to visiting again.

Beautiful cottage hidden in trees

There is a compacted gravel road leading to the owner's property which is acres. Their house is near the entrance and the 2/1 cottage is far enough awaoy so as not to disturb each other. Woodstove and fire pit were set up, although we didn't use either. Baked goods welcoming us were appreciated. Small house but very comfortable. Kitchen had everything you would need. Hot water for both of us. Large deck with grill and plenty of seating. Good location, about 1/2 hr to major attractions in every direction. Hosts very friendly and helpful. They welcomed our 2 little dogs without us worrying about their reaction. Went in mid Oct, leaves began turning, cool temps, perfect weather. One step onto deck, one step into house, step in shower. No tv, radio or washer and dryer, but that was not an issue for us. Would definitely stay again if in the area. Get the cider donuts from Grandad's if coming in the fall.

Wonderful experience

Property was exactly as pictured but what you don't see are the extra special details included. David & Arlene are exceptional hosts and thought of extras that most hosts do not...fresh baked muffins, bottles of water, snacks and even coffee, creamer, condiments, etc! We had a wonderful time in their cottage and will definitely be returning when we are in the area again. One of the complaints I read in another review was the distance/time to get somewhere. Yes, but you are staying in the mountains, it takes at least 25-30 minutes to get anywhere there because it's all curvy back roads. That why we love the area, others who are not used to that, you may want to stay in the city...lol! Also, since it was our first time visiting Hendersonville, David was very informative about things to do and places to eat. If you truly want to unplug and relax (there's no TV or dishwasher), this is a perfect place to do it and i definitely recommend you stay here! Make sure you read the notebook when you check in with instructions.

Secluded heavenly cottage

David and Arlene are genuine people who are sweet enough to let others stay in their little slice of heaven. My now husband and I, stayed for one week in their cottage, and we will never forget it. This cottage is fully equipt with everything you need, fully stocked kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and cleaning supplies that are neatly organized. This lovely and cozy cottage gives you a feel of seclusion and our host gave us plenty of privacy. On our first day, David met us at the end of the driveway and showed us the house, we were also greeted with an adorable wedding card and the best muffins ever! As a pet owner, having a sheet for our dogs to sleep on in case they wanted to sleep on the bed, was perfect, especially when must rentals refuse pets on furniture. The cabin's photos do not serve the inside and property justice!!! We were able to sit outside and let our dogs comfortably roam the yard. We even took daily strolls down the private road the property is located on. Even though you feel far away from any town, Hendersonville is a quick 15 minute drive, that has everything you would need. I would highly, highly recommend this beautiful cottage to anyone seeking to relax and be surrounded by nature!! When we were not relaxing on the property we were out visiting all the local breweries, restaurants, wineries, and hiking trails, all within 30 minutes. We even asked for recommendations and David and Arlene were spot on every time. We can't wait to come back!! Ps- thank you for the beautiful wedding card! And thoughtful gift that we will treasure!!
