To ensure a transparent and wonderful stay, please review these important details:
- We can welcome no more than 8 adults.
- Firewood is not provided.
- No Air Conditioning: Like most homes in Tahoe, our cabin does not have AC. We do offer fans and our windows have screens to bring in the cool mountain air at night.
- Mountain Life: Dust and pollen can accumulate quickly on outdoor furniture. The BBQ and other outdoor furniture may be stored and unavailable during winter (typically October- May).
- Weather & Travel: A 4WD/AWD vehicle, chains, or snow tires may be required in winter.
- Winter in the mountains is part of the magic — but it also means snow, ice, and changing conditions. Walkways, stairs, decks, and the driveway may become slippery during colder months. We do our best to maintain safe access; however, conditions can shift quickly with temperature and weather changes. Ice melt and snow tools are available at the property and we encourage guests to use them as needed during their stay. Please wear appropriate footwear and use extra caution when walking or driving on the property. By staying at the home during winter months, guests acknowledge that snow and ice are natural conditions in this area and assume responsibility for exercising care while on the premises.
- Uncontrollable Events: We are not responsible for uncontrollable circumstances such as poor air quality during wildfire season or snow during winter. We strongly recommend purchasing external trip insurance, as our cancellation policy will be upheld.
- Safety: The home is equipped with smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, and a first aid kit for your safety.
- Please refer to the Rental Agreement for a full list of the local STR Rules.
- In case of a power outage, there are emergency supplies located in the Kitchen pantry.
