Very clean and comfortable spot, perfect for both spending time in Reykjvik and as a launching off point for travel around the island. Parking was easy and accessible. Restaurants, sights, grocers, shopping are all with one block. Quiet for the nights (at least in September!) The host was very responsive and efficient. Only one word of caution, this is on the third floor of a walkup with fairly steep and narrow stairs, which made hauling suitcases up and back a bit of a challenge.

Parking is really easy, just up at Hallgrimskirkja. Location cannot be beat. When you’re walking around the lovely city, the church dominates the skyline and it’s such an easy point of reference home. Located in a great spot for all sorts of day trips, but so many restaurants and shops nearby when you return home. I will miss hearing the bells of Hallgrimskirkja. Can’t say enough about how much I loved this place.

Place was as described. Was a little smaller than expected, but was a great location. Managed to get free parking at the church as recommended. Had all facilities we needed, and view of Hallgrimskirkja at night from the balcony was lovely. Only negative was the lighting in the kitchen was quite dark, but everything else was great. Host was responsive to all my questions. Thankyou for our great stay.

Beautiful apartment in a great part of town. Comfortable for our family of four (two parents, two teenage kids). Apartment was clean, communication with the host was easy and timely. Nice area to walk around. If you want a cheaper meal, have a hot dog or go to a bakery (Iceland is very expensive).A few things to note, it is up three flights of stairs. It's not in a noisy part of town, but sound in the building does travel. If there is any noise you'll hear it and they'll hear you. Also, you need to pay for parking on the street, download the Parka app, we parked in the church parking lot one night and that worked well. I recommend you rent a car to see the county, it's really beautiful. If you want a recommendation for a day trip, we drove the Golden Circle, which you can do in a day. The highlights were Thingvellir National Park, Geysir Geothermal Area & Gullfoss. Plan 1-1.5 hours at each sight because they all involve some walking, although you can see parts of Gullfoss and Geysir with less walking if needed. All three sites have food and gift shops. If we ever come back to Iceland, we would definitely stay here again. It's a very cute little apartment. We recommend it.

The apartment is in a great location, and although parking is on the street, we had no trouble finding a spot right outside on the same street. It's within walking distance of all the main city attractions and just half a block from Hallgrímskirkja. The apartment is on the third floor, so if you're traveling with large suitcases, be prepared to carry them up a somewhat narrow staircase. The bathroom is small by American standards, but it's clean, well maintained, and was perfectly adequate for our stay.
