Welcome to this charming house in Montara California. This beautiful property boasts 3 bedrooms, including 1 king bed and 2 queen beds, perfect for a group of friends or family. The Primary King Bedroom has an adjustable base bed. It has a bright en-suite bathroom equipped with its own stand up shower. The other two queen bedrooms, one with an adjustable base queen bed, share a bathroom with an ADA bars equipped bathtub and stand up shower. Both bathrooms peak out onto the Meyer Lemon tree in the backyard. Feel free to help yourself to fresh lemons during your stay. A fully stocked cooking kitchen includes pots and pans, a kitchen knife set, utensils, common spices, dishes, bowls, and glassware. Other appliances include a Keurig coffee maker and pods, a tea pot with several teas, an air fryer/toaster oven and full dishwasher. The backyard has a seating area so you and your kids and/or pet can enjoy the fenced in backyard. Pet size is small to medium with a 50lb maximum. Please clean up after your animal.

Enjoy the phenomenal views from the cozy living space and take advantage of amenities like WiFi, AC, Heat, a 55” TV loaded with Direct TV, HBO, max, Paramount, Peacock, Hulu, STARZ, PBS, and Apple TV. This quiet ranch style house is surrounded by peace and quiet but also located a half mile off one of the 10 best gorgeous, scenic drives on California’s famous Pacific Coast Hwy 1, part of the Devils’s Slide Area. You will be in the South Bay Area and everything is just a fifteen minute to an hour drive to San Francisco, Half Moon Bay, Santa Cruz, Pescadero, Oakland, Berkeley etc. Easy access to miles of golden sand beaches traversing a variety of natural surroundings with Pacific Ocean vistas on one side and some of California’s most amazing coastal views on the other. On Montara State Beach there is 10,000 acres of pet friendly open spaces to roam. Everything in Montara itself is within walking or biking distance. Uber and Lyft service the area.

There are many delicious restaurants in the South Bay Area. The Moss Beach Distillery, La Costanera, Hangetsu Sushi, Barbara’s Fishtrap, Ketch, It’s Italia in Half Moon Bay are just some of the fine dining right in the area. HMB Coffee Co. for great breakfasts! If you like to cook you will find incredible prices at the area’s Grocery Outlet Bargain Market through the tunnel in Pacifica along with many other regular grocery stores and shopping areas. It’s all close by! It’s beachy but so close to San Fransisco you won’t know you’re in the city until you see the tall buildings, the bay, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. It’s also just across the bridge from Sausalito, then Napa and Sonoma for great wine tastings. You can have your relaxing vacation and hit the high spots in the city if you choose. The best of both worlds!

This is a lovely, clean, safe and quiet place to stay in Montara. Lots of natural beauty all around and very close to the gorgeous beaches. The yard is huge and beautiful. There was a bad storm while we were there but Jean was super responsive when we needed assistance. She's a great host.

Peaceful stay

We had a relaxing stay in Montara. Our dog loved the yard, we walked to the beach daily and enjoyed relaxing back at the VRBO. Very clean, quiet and spacious with very comfy master bed. Jean was a quick communicator and we hope to visit again.

Property was as advertised, meeting my family's needs. All items needed to have that cup of cafe in the morning then cooking breakfast through relaxing at night from a day of local adventures. Neighborhood was great for a stroll with our dog and taking in the scenery. Or as we did, 5 minute walk to the local hiking trails to walk into Montara state park for some fantastic views for easy or hard level hikes.

But later as a parent I have also been to most every water and theme park with my son in Wisconsin, Florida and California. I believe I know what people like in accommodations and try to meet and exceed their expectations.

I love this area and live here when I am not in Wisconsin. I think it’s gorgeous, awe inspiring and would love to share what I have learned in my time in California. If you have any questions feel free to contact me I am always available.

Why they chose this property

Montara is a beautiful and quiet area. People are neighborly and it is very safe. It is relatively flat for the area so a walk or hike can be at any activity level you are at. When you turn the corner down onto PCH 1 the beauty just hits you and almost takes your breath away!

What makes this property unique

My property is mostly on one level so someone with limited mobility can enjoy it. It is big enough but not huge. I believe it is the perfect space to vacation together but also to allow for alone time when someone needs to regroup. It has a huge fenced in yard, beautiful trees and a territorial hummingbird that lives amongst the lemons and the flowers that bloom all year long. It is also close to the city, the beaches, hiking and everything the South Bay Area has to offer. It is a retreat and a refuge in a very cosmopolitan area. Thanks for checking it out!
