The Neighborhood:

The rental is in a perfect location on James Island. It's just a 5 minute ride to downtown Charleston where you can explore the historic district and King Street! There are endless shops, restaurants and bars to choose from. The beaches are very close as well. Folly Beach is the closest beach (10 miles / 15 minutes). Folly has the most going on in terms of stores and restaurants. Folly also has Folly Beach County Park which includes bathrooms, showers, and parking for a small fee. Sullivans Island is about 12 miles (22 minute drive) away and is also a great beach with some amazing restaurants.



Getting Around:

Car transport (either personal or via UBER, Lyft, etc) is best to get from point A to B. Everything is very close to the rental which makes transportation much easier!

We found this VRBO to be very welcoming & clean. We appreciated the special touches such as the travel sized toiletries provided, the outdoor set up including a fire pit with wood in it ready to be lit, and the beautiful marsh view. It was a quiet peaceful location and very close to our family who live nearby. We highly recommend this property & consider this host one of the best we’ve encountered.

Great and quiet spot near everything

Nice and quiet location with a lovely view and all the amenities you could want in a stay. No neighborhood noise and even though you are off a major road, its whisper quiet at night. Great stay and will love to come again on our next trip to Charleston.

Marsh House

Loved staying at the Marsh House! When you walk in, you immediately feel taken back in time with a twist of modern. Beautiful hardwood floors throughout with butcher block counter tops. Great views of the marsh with ample yard space for our Chi . Host was very responsive. Location is very close to downtown and Folly Beach. We will definitely visit again.

Long weekend getaway

The property was very clean and comfortable. The location was close to everything we wanted to do. It has a large yard for our dogs and a beautiful view of the marsh. It was also very quiet at night. We would definitely book this property again on a future visit.

Perfect weekend place for two

Spent a weekend anniversary trip here visiting Charleston, and it was the perfect little studio for a short stay. We like to eat most meals in, so we appreciated the nicer dishes and drink glasses that most rentals don't provide. The hot water is very limited, so if you have more than one person, spread out the showers or be very quick! It is very conveniently located to downtown Charleston and overall a great place for two.

Property as described. Wonderful communication with the host. Any question was answered quickly and accurately. Property was clean and quiet despite being close to road. Heat and air worked well. Great location

We enjoyed our stay. The location was very convenient for our daily trips to folly beach and for a visit to downtown Charleston. The kitchen had everything that I needed to prepare some meals for the 3 of us. We were very thankful it was pet friendly so our 6lb yorkie could come with us. We enjoyed evenings out by the fire pit. Thank you Thomas for your quick and friendly response with any questions I had.

Great little spot

Very clean little studio house. Photos on the site are accurate. The house does site behind a small business but we didn't see or hear anyone from the business. The entrance to the driveway is off a four lane road, two lanes each direction. We didn't notice any road noise. To get into the downtown from the house, you have to turn left across the four lanes and get right pretty quickly to get up the ramp to the city. We actually had no problem doing this as most times, traffic was minimal. Very easy to bop into downtown and back. Folly Beach is not far away. Pretty beach. Huge backyard. Our pooch really enjoyed it. Coffee and filters were provided as well as dish soap and hand soap. Appreciated the shampoo and conditioner. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Highly recommend! Extremely charming and huge backyard overlooking the marsh for lounging in the sun or letting our pup play. The unit was well appointed and had everything we needed to cook a steak dinner. Highly accessible and only a short drive to all area attractions!
