If you are looking for a cabin located directly next to the water with its own private dock and pavilion, you can stop looking because you have found it. Sevierville Douglas Lake Front Cabin, unit 792 “Lazy Man’s Way” has everything you need to create fun filled lake memories that will last a lifetime. This cabin is in the Muddy Creek area of Douglas Lake and sits at the end of a peninsula and is surrounded on three sides by the beautiful Douglas Lake in Sevierville. Bring your boat because this cabin has its own covered dock where you can dock your boat at night using nearby ramp access. If you don’t have a boat, you can still sit back and fish or swim off the dock all while taking in the beauty of the Douglas Lake and the Great Smoky Mountains. In the evening after a long day out on the water or a day spent in town, you can either sit back by the outdoor fire pit and soak in the splendor and calmness of Douglas Lake or use the properties private pavilion offering a charcoal grill/smoker and enjoy dinner with the family while still taking in all the beauty. This amazing three-bedroom two bath property features a fully furnished kitchen, full size living room with reclining furniture, 40-inch TV, and a seasonal stone encased gas log fireplace. There are three private bedrooms, one with a king bed, one with a queen bed, and one with a full bed, and an additional loft sleeping area offering an additional queen size bed. There is a bathroom downstairs offering a Whirlpool tub and a walk-in shower, and there is an additional bathroom upstairs with an additional walk-in shower. This cabin has everything that you need to create unforgettable Smoky Mountain and Douglas Lake memories. Douglas Lake hosts some of the best views in the Smokies period! Douglas Lake does have seasonal water from April to September. Dock usage is dependent on water levels and is seasonal between April to August. Free wireless internet. Dogs are welcome but must be under 35 lbs, additional fees apply, and must follow Fireside Chalets pet policies. Lake water levels are seasonal and weather based. Please research lake levels for your season. parking for up to 3 vehicles. WiFi included. No Smoking. Sleeps 8.

House and view was amazing! Everything worked as it should. House was clean. The only thing that bothered us was that the grass hadn’t been mowed and was about shin high. Otherwise definitely enjoyed ourselves.

This is a great location with beautiful lake view. House was clean as far as bathrooms and clean linens. Needs a good seasonal cleaning for cobwebs, dust, windows etc. Great house, just needs some upkeep.

We couldn't have found a better place to relax. Sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee watching the lake. The cabin was beautifully decorated. Beds was comfy. It was so nice we added an extra night. 10 out of 10!!

The property was ok. Could not use the closets because they were jam packed with items. There was only one dresser to use that was placed in the closet so therefore you couldnt hang anything. One bedroom had no closet or dresser. The third bedroom had an unusable closet and no dresser. When they say bare minimum in the kitchen, they mean it!The dock is hard to get to and one of our group fell trying to get to it. Its a steep hillside with no steps.The area of the lake is fantastic!

Inside the Cabin was okay for the most part but it was everything else that wasn’t great. 1st off the grass was almost knee high, the hot tub was nasty and we didn’t even use, the grill wasn’t clean, the drive back to the cabin was a little sketchy especially since we brought our boat, and the really big deal for us was something they couldn’t control but in the listing it said the water level would be up by May 15th and it wasn’t. The water was so low the dock was about 10 feet from the water’s edge sitting on the hillside and that was another issue, you had to be half mountain goat just climb down to the water to fish and back climb back up which was terrible trying to carry the fishing gear and chair! Also no close boat ramp to put the boat in. We had to drive 45 minutes to find a public boat ramp. Just an overall bad experience. So bad we left 2 days early.

I booked this rental for a group of ladies for our annual Christmas trip. We had all visited the area many times, so we had planned to simply relax at the cabin for the entire weekend, and this was a lovely location for that. However, it should be noted that the cabin is not at all isolated; there are neighbors close by. The hot tub alone was the reason enough for the 5 star rating. Even though the weather was very cold, we were able to enjoy the hot tub for both sunrises and sunsets because we were protected from the wind. Perfection.There are plenty of beds, blankets, etc. If I had to find a complaint, it would be that the kitchen is not overly well-stocked. We ordered groceries after arriving, and cooked at the cabin the entire time, so it would be been nice to have more options with cookware, dishes, etc. Some guests might also find the furnishings to be a bit dated as well, but that was not a concern to us, and the cabin was decorated nicely for Christmas, which we enjoyed. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we would book again!

My husband and I just finished our anniversary trip here. The location has breathtaking views. Nice sized home, sitting outside is adequate. House could have been cleaned better, it is only being surface cleaned, nothing moved and cleaned under and was a fruit fly problem in the kitchen. Down side to the trip, was we went with the intention on fishing and relaxing, this wasn't the case. Water level was extremely low by 13 feet, the dock had been pullled in, we literally had to sit IN the lake to fish and then that was tricky being its all downhill. A couple of recommendations for owners, if the water is that low, notify the people renting so alternative plans can be made to do other things, instead of specifically going to do the one activity that the location was chosen for and not being able to do so. Being on the lake i would have expected some type of lake equipment being availabl like a, paddle boat, kayak etc. ( We came with everything to be able to fish off the dock) Especially with water levels being so low, fishng was nonexistent because you cant reach the fish without a boat. Hot tub was clean and great, only thing was the breaker tripped and wouldn't hold but maintenamce was very quick to get out and fix the problem in a matfer of a few hours. Overall, the location was great, other than the water situation. We would definitely like to revisit when water levels are where they need to be in order to fully enjoy why we rented this in the first place.

Surface clean, but not thoroughly clean. Upstairs shower leaked into downstairs bathroom had to call maintenance man out to repair that as well as the loveseat recliner which is in really bad shape. Blinds missing in the upstairs bathroom. Only half of the hot tub would actually bubble. The lake was drained to the point where all of the docs were on land about 30 feet above water level. Apparently draining the lakes is something that happens annually. It would’ve been nice to know this before booking our stay. When calling for maintenance they promptly answered and were very responsive. All communications were clear and timely. We would not stay in this cabin again.

The location, exterior of the home, and some of the interior were great. Having a pet with me and having to retrieve toys from under furniture, you actually see how a property is cleaned. There was a lot of dust, dirt and food under the furniture. With hardwood floors, it would be easy to move the furniture to give it a quick swipe. Also, the shower in the upstairs bathroom should be replaced. The porcelain tray has an approx 3 inch chip out of it and there is a big black spot and the shower door/panels is completely molded...kind of gross. Other than those two items, the house was great. I wish they hadn't drained the lake yet. I did look into this and understood that this didn't start until Sept but it was already low when we arrived. Might want to highlight this fact other than just note it buried in the print.

The cabin has good bones but many small maintenance tasks that would have made the cabin exceptional were left undone. Also, when booking, I inquired about lake water levels for the end of September, specifically the 26th through 29th and was told there was typically water at this location all year. However, the water level was low and the floating dock sat on dry land. To put our boat in, we had to travel to a public ramp in Dandridge, TN. From speaking to locals, the lake is drained on a schedule every year? If that is true, our host should have known too. MAINTENANCE/COMFORT: The shower water temp was kept too low, didn't get the feeling the cabin was cleaned much before our arrival - no smell of a clean environment, shower drain in downstairs bathroom loose, toilet paper holder fell off when putting on a new roll, kitchen sink water low flow, deck worn and in need of cleaning and staining, outdoor furniture in need of cleaning and staining, loose support bar in outdoor table, loose leg on one chair in dining room, surfaces of outdoor furniture dusty and dirty, floating deck in need of clean and stain, some screens torn out, unable to open downstairs windows for fresh air flow, entire cabin in need of a deep clean, didn't use jacuzzi or hot tub, right before arrival, received notification that we were to take 2 hours out of our time to test all in the cabin and report any issues - whoever is hosting this cabin should do this inspection, guests should not be expected to.

Exterior of cabin could have used some sprucing up but interior was clean and we had everything we needed. Entertainment shack was really a nice bonus. The view was spectacular even with the lower water levels at this time of year. The fam had a really great long weekend and enjoyed our first visit to Douglas Lake. Brought home tons of fish.

My family loves Douglas Lake, and we’ve visited the area many times. Unfortunately, this lake house is very small and needs updating. The floors and porches need a good cleaning….lots of dust and debris under the furniture….I tried vacuuming, but the vacuum cleaner was very old and was not effective. The yard grass was very weedy and too high….I asked the host to have it mowed, but it was never mowed….we had to walk through it to reach the lake, and it was not pleasant. We typically spend a good bit of time outdoors , so the tall grass prevented us from doing so….even the pups had issues with the tall grass.We rented this particular property because it has a boat dock. However, the dock had been pulled up too high on land, so we were unable to use it for our boat. We were told that it was due to the lake water level being down, but all neighboring docks were in the water. This information had not been provided to us, and we pulled our boat 500 miles only to find that the boat dock could not be used, which was very upsetting to my family. Other issues: limited space in fridge due to broken shelves; limited space to store clothing…closets and chests were filled with stuff not usable. Kitchen items need to be updated and replaced.While we had many issues with the property, the host was easy to reach and was very friendly. They did replace a broken ceiling fan in a quick manner, and we were very appreciative for this service. The lake was beautiful as always!

We had a great stay, the only thing I would say with a 1 1/2 year old that someone makes sure the grass is mowed, it was at his little knees making him fall a lot.
