Welcome to Fox Den – A Charming 2 bedroom/1 bath A-Frame tucked in the quiet woods of Blowing Rock, NC.
Enjoy a scenic view out front and a rare, mostly flat yard out back—perfect for relaxing or playing. In summer, listen for the nostalgic whistle of the Tweetsie train.
Ideally located between downtown Blowing Rock and Boone’s main corridor, this peaceful retreat offers easy access to hiking, shopping, dining, and all the High Country has to offer.
Fox Den is a peaceful 2-bedroom cottage nestled in the trees of Blowing Rock.
With its A-frame charm, scenic view out front, and a rare mostly flat backyard, it’s the perfect mix of cozy and functional.
In the summer, you might catch the distant whistle of the Tweetsie train.
Whether you’re gathered around the dining table or relaxing on the porch, this home is designed for quiet moments and quality time—just minutes from both Boone and downtown Blowing Rock.
LIVING/KITCHEN AREA
Step into a warm, wood-accented living space where large windows bring in forest views and natural light. The comfy sofa and lounge chairs invite you to curl up with a good book or enjoy a movie night. The open layout with vaulted ceilings flows into a well-equipped kitchen with full-size appliances, granite counters, and all the essentials for cooking or serving takeout. Whether you’re prepping pancakes or sipping wine and taking in the view, this space is made for connection.
The kitchen has a keurig with a side for k-cups and a coffee pot, microwave, full size stove/oven, full size refrigerator, full size dishwasher, dishes, utensils, mugs and wine glasses.
There is a smart tv in the living room.
FIRST BEDROOM
This serene bedroom features a plush upholstered queen bed, cozy bedding, and soft green walls that echo the forest just outside. Large windows let in natural light, while blackout curtains ensure restful sleep. Thoughtful touches like the rustic artwork, wood blinds, and bedside lamp add charm and comfort.
SECOND BEDROOM
This inviting bedroom offers a spacious queen bed with a soft comforter and a plush upholstered headboard. Earthy tones and warm wood accents create a calming retreat, while the ceiling fan and large window ensure comfort year-round. Escape to the backyard right from your bedroom with a back porch door.
FULL BATH
The thoughtfully designed bathroom features a clean tub/shower combo—perfect for a relaxing soak or a quick rinse after a day outdoors. Soft lighting, warm tones, and charming touches make the space feel cozy and functional.
LAUNDRY CLOSET
There is a full size stacked washer and dryer ready for your use during your stay. Please leave the washer open after use to be able to air dry.
BACK YARD
Step out onto a spacious deck overlooking a rare, mostly flat backyard—perfect for families, lawn games, or simply soaking in the peace and quiet. Enjoy meals at the outdoor dining table or gather around the rustic stone fire pit as the sun sets behind the trees for s'mores and enjoying the mountain air. With room to roam and a view to remember, this backyard is a hidden gem in the mountains.
Guests have access to the entire property.
NO PETS ALLOWED.
This includes emotional support animals. Only service animals are permitted and must be crated if left alone.
Under federal law, service animals are dogs or miniature horses trained to perform tasks for people with disabilities. Non-service animals are not allowed in this home. Dogs, pets and other animals whose sole function is to provide comfort, companionship, or emotional support do not qualify as service animals and are not permitted in this home, even with a doctor's note.
Misrepresenting your pet as a service animal negatively impacts the quality of life and independence for service animal users. Under North Caroline law, it is illegal to fraudulently misrepresent your pet as a service animal.
This sweet home is all on one level but there are a few stone steps and then a few steps on the deck leading to the door.
The driveway is a bit steep and it's good to get some momentum going up. 4wd is not required but is recommended.

As this is the mountains and we often experience storms and high winds, we sometimes experience outages of various kinds. They are almost always turned back on quickly and we won't be able to give refunds for outages except on a case by case basis as this is out of our control.
