The perfect home for our stay. The home was easy to find and located just off the water near a cool restaurant called Sunbury Crab. The house was clean, well-furnished, and equipped with all the necessary things to make our stay comfortable. When in the area, I'll definitely try to stay here again.

In Need of Cleaning and Repair

I stayed at this property in April of this year and was quite disappointed. The property is in need of some repairs (the house has settling issues). There were many cracks in the walls near the ceiling and there was also a window in the kitchen that would not close because of this. This of course caused some anxiety because we were 3 women staying on the property for several nights. This however was not the issue of most concern. What was really disheartening was the cleanliness (rather lack of cleanliness) of the property. The house appeared to not have been cleaned thoroughly in quite a while. The kitchen table and counter tops were very dirty. We had to wipe them down several times due to the amount of dirt on them. The refrigerator was extremely filthy and we had to clean it as well before we could consider using it. There were cobwebs in every corner of every room in the house. There were even cobwebs under the furniture. The house had spiders which was forgivable, but what was not forgivable were the roaches.

Beautiful home

This home and property is absolutely beautiful! The owner was very nice and was available to answer any questions. We spent the week of Thanksgiving and was able to cook a Thanksgiving dinner with a fully stocked kitchen. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone.

The place was perfect.

The place had plenty of room for the six of us and we loved sitting outside and just visiting with each other. It was also close enough to Savannah that you could go in for the day.

We absolutely loved the cozy feeling of the property. We had an issue where a fuse was blown and the owner was VERY prompt in resolving the issue. It was the second leg of our summer vacation. This house was WAAAAY more comfortable and accommodating from our first house we stayed at in Atlanta. At first, it seems off the beaten path, but there are plenty of neighbors. It was well stocked with just about everything you need. They thought of everything you might need and stocked the house with it. The cell coverage is marginal but the Wifi works well. My only negative, which is no fault to the owners, is that the satellite provider did not carry the station that air Jeopardy. It is about a 30 minute drive to Savannah but an easy drive. We saw several deers in the yard and dolphins down by the boat ramp. Also saw and spoke with some folks fishing, who had just caught a small shark. Will definitely recommend.

A fun place to stay

The home is located in an interesting historical district and gave us a chance to learn and enjoy the local history. It is minutes away from the Sunbury Crab House which is a delightful experience. The house itself is lovely and comfortable. The owners were responsive to the issues we had. It would be helpful to know ahead of time that the cell coverage is spotty - we had both Verizon and AT&T but experienced times of no service. There was no information binder on the rules and things such as how to get online. This may seem unnecessary for some, but when there are several people at the house, it is useful to have a book to refer them to. Interestingly, only one bedroom had a closet. All in all, it was a great stay for us and we had a good time.

The home was very pleasant the only thing I didn’t like was no cellular service back there.

Felt at home while staying at the Midway home. Neighbors are very friendly. Beds were very comfortable The internet never worked that was a bummer!! I would suggest letting guest know that stay here don’t take the first turn that GPS leads you to the home it’s an unfinished clay road. Go up to the next turn that GPS provides.

Family Reconnection

My husband had not seen his daughter for 16 years after a bitter divorce and other complications. We met at the Midway House by Sunbury Channel and had a wonderful weekend reconnecting. The sunroom provided privacy where they talked, cried, laughed and hugged. It was perfect in every way. The house was clean, classy and comfortable. It was just right for our dine-in dinners, grilling burgers, seafood boils and included intimate space for our suppers... great energy and just the right space. The kids had a little one and even though they brought toys, there were toys in the house to provide new entertainment for a 1 year old. The unit was kid-safe and met every need on our list. Great location as well, not too far from Savannah, Tybee Island and exploring of history right on Dutchman's Cove (not to mention the marina within walking distance). At night, very quiet and peaceful. Bet you can't tell how much we enjoyed it huh? LOL!! Great memories of the Midway House, where I met my Step-Daughter, and both my husband and myself met our Son-In-Law and Grandbaby. :) I recommend if you're sitting on the fence with a decision, go with Midway House - you won't be disappointed!

Great anniversary getaway

The house was a wonderful anniversary get away. Me and my husband enjoyment watching football and just being lazy. I loved cooking thanksgiving dinner in the well stocked kitchen. But my favorite thing was the soaker tub. And we highly recommend sunbury crab company restaurant. The steak was the best we ever had.
