Beautiful property in a small village, absolutely stunning views and it literally had absolutely everything we needed for a wonderful holiday. We all had a fantastic time (adults and kids) and would highly recommend
Property was lovely - fairly secluded, ample grounds and a lovely pool.Good Wi-Fi once we were able to connect - owners very helpful and go the extra mile. All in all a lovely relaxing week!
Very comfortable and spacious with a lovely pool and grounds - perfect for a family of 8. Very well equiped and the air conditioning was very much appreciated with temperatures reaching to 40c during our stay. It is a beautiful area and lots to see and do. Would definitely return.
This was our third stay at Les Romarins and once again we had a wonderful experience. The house is very comfortable and well suited for a mixed age family group. It is spacious and well laid out with a large sitting room, family kitchen and separate study. There are four bedrooms and three bathroons. The large garden with fruit and olive trees is a delight and the secluded swimming pool is a real pleasure in hot weather Clara and Tim, the owners, were very responsive to all our requests and went out of their way to be helpful. The house is well located for exploring the Carcassonne area. A fantastic place to stay and thoroughly to be recommended. We would very much like to return.
The house really is in the most beautiful setting, surrounded by fields on the edge of Bellegarde du Razes. If you want a peaceful retreat, this is the place for you.
The house is fantastic - very spacious which is not entirely depicted in the photos. Beautiful views and vineyards surround the property. It is very well equipped and maintained (a home from home) and perfect for a very realaxing holiday. Very very private with no overlooking properties. You really feel you are getting away from it all. We really couldn't have asked for more.
A car is an absolute must as, the nearest bakery is 10 minutes drive away and there are big supermarkets in Mirepoix and Limoux.
Great places to visit, Alet les Bain with an old priory (fantastic lunch at La Buvette), Carcasoone is an absolute must. Beautiful medival Mirepoix has a great market on Mondays. Lots of vineyards in the area which have restaurants.
Communication from the owners is impeccable with very prompt responses.
All in all, a perfect holiday if you want to get away from it all and relax in the beautiful French countryside.

Very much a home from home.
Les Romarins was a delight from start to finish . We have had a lovely time exploring the area, but our base was so relaxing that we didn't see half as much as we intended! Sunshine, a huge garden and inviting pool, with every useful item we could need! Truly a home from home, but a bit warmer than Glasgow! The location is quiet and peaceful, but busy market towns like Limoux and Mirepoix are within easy reach, and the views en route are amazing. Caracassonne was busy but breathtaking, and an experience not to be missed.
There is more than enough space for a large family, and plenty of activities in the unlikely event that the weather isn't perfect - our family now knows the rules for billiards, although no one had the time to improve their skills much as the markets and restuarants beckoned too loudly. We will be back to the area to fill in the gaps like Foix and Narbonne etc etc.....
The house was very clean and well maintained, and the pool was checked at least 4 times during our 14day visit to ensure it was clean and safe.
We would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone with a larger family and a thirst for exploring this part of France.

Bel emplacement. Nous avons passé une bonne semaine.
Les Romarins is well located on the edge of the small village of Bellegarde du Razes. It is a spacious and comfortable house, with three good sized bedrooms and a fourth smaller bedroom. The kitchen and sitting room are both very well equipped and comfortable. There is also a very good study room area equipped with two large tables. Outside there is a lovely terrace overlooking the garden where we had all our meals. The real gem is the swinning pool, very private and sscreened by olive trees and lavender. There are great views of the surrounding countryside from the rear of the house. Overall this is a very special house and is a very quiet and peaceful place, perfect for getting awqy from all the pressures of modern living. The nearest food shops are about 6 kms away in the nearby village of Bellveze du Razes. so you would need a car or bicycle if you come to stay here. The owners of the house, Tim and Clare, were very prompt in answering all my enquiries. We had a lovely week at Les Romarins and we should love to return there.
Beautiful house with views over the surrounding countryside. Very easy to access from Carcassonne but, unfortunately, there are no shops in the village. Excellent pool and superb garden.

A beautiful well equipped home from home
It is seldom one finds such a delightful and beautiful home to enjoy a family holiday. It is clean and well equipped but most of all very comfortable.
The pool is stunning, the garden is pretty with plenty of places to sit and read quietly.
The sunsets and views were truly special. The owners are extremely helpful too.
Highly recommended

Fantastic house in lovely area. Great holiday
We have stayed in many holiday villas over the years but this has been one of the very best. Really comfortable and well equipped. A proper home. More books than even we could read in a fortnight, completely equipped for catering with eating in doors and out, lovely pool and surrounding area including ping pong table for annual holiday competition. Beds were very comfortable as was sofa which can sometimes not be the case. We also loved the area. About 30 mins from Carcassone and nearer to lovely towns of Limoux and Mirepoix. Also managed canoe down Aude and inflatable fun on a lake. Surrounding countryside is stunning with amazing views in all directions. Would highly recommend.

Great family chill spot
The Bennets are outstanding hosts. Tim employs half the neighbourhood to make sure everything goes smoothly for your visit. The house is big and spacious and has a great pool. The butchery in du Raze makes the best sausage in France and the patisseries in Mirepoix are outstanding. The local people are very friendly. A beautiful spot with plenty of room for the kids to run around.Highly recommended.

Splendid!
This is the second year we've stayed in this house and we're so pleased we went back.
Lots of space for a family inside and outside. The views are spectacular and we looked forward to the sunsets every evening.
The house is really well equipped with a really big kitchen (super cooker) , laundry, wi fi etc. the rooms are large and airy and you would never feel cramped.
Outside there are a number of different areas to sit and the pool is a good size and very well maintained.
The area is packed with places to visit and the next village which is only a few km has everything you need in terms of supplies, poste, pizzeria etc
All in all highly recommended.

Beautiful house and location
We visited Les Romarins at the end of June through to early July and had a wonderful holiday. In all our party consisted of 4 adults and 3 children and we all found it difficult to leave on the last day of our stay.
House and Amenities: The various amenities are well documented so I don't need to add too much here but I would say that the house and gardens were immaculate. A great kitchen leads out on to the patio and we spent a lot of time here having lazy lunches and dinners.
I know this might sound silly, but having an ice machine on the fridge was such a luxury especially with the great weather we had. Thinking of getting one for our home but in Scotland the need is not so desperate! It's worth mentioning that the house is full of books and DVDs (mostly in English) so you can save yourself some baggage allowance and take your pick for your holiday reads. The owners also kindly left their computer allowing us to have access to the internet.
Garden and Pool Area: The garden is enormous and our kids loved it. There was a garden swing and climbing frame as well as a large trampoline so there was plenty for them to do. The garden sloops gently downhill and ends at a field of sunflowers which were just coming in to bloom. Absolutely idyllic. The views of the surrounding countryside are also beautiful.
The pool area is large and gated for security and there is a great shaded area to sit when the sun gets too hot. There is also a table-tennis table and a foosball table which were great fun.
General Location: It was easy to get to from the Airport, probably around 40 to 45 minutes or so. Now knowing the overall area I don't think we could have picked a better location. You are basically in the centre of the triangle of Carcassonne, Limoux and Mirepoix and in whatever direction you set off, there is plenty to see and do. The actual village itself is small and beautiful but there isn't any shops / cafes etc. This wasn't a problem though as the nearest village with these was only 5 minutes away by car. There is a great vineyard close by called Cave du Raze which has great wines at great prices.
There is a lot of information available in the various guide books etc but we had some great trips to Carcassone itself, Montsegur (cathar castle) and Rennes le Chateau.
As you can probably tell from my comments above, I would have no hesitation to recommending this to anyone. Thanks again for a lovely holiday.
