It is on the outskirts of the village of Loupia, a few cables from Limoux that welcome you on the shady terraces of this very pleasant holiday home classified 3*.
The town of Limoux is an excellent place to stay for those who are particularly fond of discoveries, both natural and cultural. It allows to radiate in star to the medieval citadel of Carcassonne, classified as a world heritage monument by Unesco; The Canal du Midi, also a World Heritage Site; The Cathar castles; And the famous village of Rennes le chateau, whose notoriety has been put back on the agenda with the Da Vinci Code. Here, the mystics will be able to walk in the footsteps of Abbé Saunière and the treasure of the Templars.

The nature is lush and full of rivers, paradise for fishermen as well as sportsmen in search of thrills during the practice of sports in whitewaters. It is also on these lands that the vineyard has given birth to the ancestral Blanquette de Limoux.

The house of 260 m² is comfortably furnished for 10 people with air conditionning in all the bedrooms. It has a private garden of 600 m² enclosed, decorated with a large covered terrace and a swimming pool arranged with these wooden beaches. The pool of 5.30mx3.20m with depht of 1.10m. Secured by an alarm, it is open from mai to mid october. The house is sheltered from view and offers stunning views of the surrounding hills.
On the ground floor : spacious living room with lounge and dining area, large kitchen, 1 independent living room with insert, 1 bathroom with bath, shower and double washbasins, 1 separate toilet. Night corner with 1 kingsize bedroom and 1 twin room.
On the 1st floor: 1 mezzanine, 1 kingsize bedroom, 1 other kingsize bedroom very spacious with dressing and terrace of 20 m² facing south / west with beautiful view, 1 twin bedroom, 1 independant bathroom and 1 separate toilet. Airconditionning in the 2 queensize bedrooms.
Very beautiful views of the countryside and the surrounding countryside.
The owners speak English, German and Spanish.

Charges to be paid locally :
Compulsory final cleaning at 100 €,
30€ extra per week for 1 pet allowed,
Possibility to rent sheets + 2 towels + 1 large swimming pool towel at 15 € / person, to be ordered before arrival,
Air conditionning and electric heating compulsory according to consumption displayed on the general meter reading at 0.25€/kwh the year around.

We had a great week at the house! The owner came by a few times to check the pool, and if we had any questions, we could text and it would be fixed right away

A Lovely country holiday home….

Our party included 2 families of 4 and on arrival we met Jean the owner who was extremely helpful from the off! Going over the property for us and recommending places to visit in the local area. The property was clean, spacious and well equipped, the local area is stunning and peaceful. So much to see and the views are beautiful of the surrounding vineyards and hills, The swimming pool was well kept and the kids found it great fun A great family-sized farmhouse, surrounded by gorgeous rolling countryside. Limoux is a very short drive away with a great offering of supermarkets and smaller shops, the town square is great for a meal and drinks. Easy access to so many historic sites - including Carcassonne & Mirepoix. If in the area again would certainly considering staying at this property again

Propreté de la maison : Cuisine sale où le petit électroménager colle sous les doigts...Pièce à vivre et salon : poussière sous les canapés.Salle d'eau à l'étage : évacuation du lavabo et de la douche très difficile / vieux gant de toilette perché et oublié sur la pomme de doucheQuand il pleut, fuite importante au vélux au-dessus du bar (et il a plu ...)Electricité : prise défectueuse ((ch. 2) / Interrupteur pour aller à l a salle de bain du RDC avec mauvais contact : Ampoules grillées : hotte de cuisine etc. ...2 ou 3 transats cassés sur le bord de la piscine.Carte du décodeur télé obsolète. Son fournisseur en vacances. Ma mère de 91 ans a pu regarder ses émissions via mon ordinateur personnel. Le propiétaire est venu mais puisque j'avais connecté mon p.c. à la télé, il n'y avait plus de problème ...Conclusion : le rapport qualité / prix / propreté n'était pas au rendez-vous .Grand dommage !!!

Vacances à Loupia

Les vacances se sont bien passées et la région est très jolie. Le propriétaire de la villa est sympa et réactif. Les glaçons et de l'eau fraîche étaient prêts à notre arrivée ainsi que 2 bouteilles de blanquette de Limoux! Les petit bémols : 1) il y a une trentaine de chats dans la maison d'à-côté. Maison qui est dans un état d'entretien très très limite. Ces chats ont du squatter la villa avant notre arrivée car ça sentait clairement le pipi de chat le matin. Heureusement, l'odeur part une fois les portes et fenêtres ouvertes. 2) la climatisation n'est pas raccordée au rez-de-chaussée (à l'exception du salon). Mais il faut préciser que les chambres du rez sont très fraîches. 3) Le réfrigérateur ne fonctionne pas bien du tout. La partie congélateur fonctionne par contre parfaitement bien. Le propriétaire est averti. 4) Un pin est planté en bord de piscine et déverse ses aiguilles constamment dans la piscine. Dans l'ensemble, l'endroit est franchement bien et il ne manquerait pas grand chose pour que ce soit superbe! L'intérieur de la villa était propre à notre arrivée, les chambres sont grandes et confortables.
