About the host
Your host

My name is Rohani. Originally from Amsterdam (The Netherlands), I’ve been living on the beautiful island of Curaçao for over six years now.
I rent out a lovely villa owned by friends of mine and work at one of the most inspiring places on the island: the Children’s Museum of Curacao. I truly believe that we learn by doing!
I'm also deeply connected to “our island” and love sharing tips on where to go, what to see, and how to experience the best of Curaçao.
When I'm not working, my alter ego sings in a band where we do cover songs of all the greatest hits (mostly 70s, 80s and 90s). I love making people happy with what I do, the children at my work, the audience with my band and hopefully you in the villa that I rent out.
Feel free to reach out — if you have any questions, just let me know!

Why they chose this property
Once a quiet, faded neighborhood, Pietermaai has transformed over the past 10 years into one of the most vibrant and beloved areas on the island. With its colorful colonial buildings, creative energy, and buzzing local scene, it’s now considered the beating heart of Willemstad.
What makes Pietermaai truly special is how walkable it is — something quite rare on Curaçao. From Villa Artavista, you can walk to everything:
- Trendy restaurants and cozy cafés
- Local art galleries and design shops
- Beautiful beaches like Avila Beach
- Historic Punda and Otrobanda with boutiques, floating market, and museums
- Live music, cocktails, and nightlife just around the corner
Villa Artavista fits right into this unique setting. With its character-filled architecture, open layout, and carefully curated art pieces in and around the home, it offers an experience that’s as inspiring as the neighborhood itself.
A stay here means you don’t just visit Curaçao — you live and feel it, right from the heart of its most creative and walkable district.

What makes this property unique
What makes Villa Artavista truly special is the feeling it gives you the moment you walk in — a sense of calm, creativity, and character that’s hard to find elsewhere.
This isn’t just a rental home — it’s a place that tells a story. Every corner reveals a new detail: a handpicked artwork, a sculptural piece in the garden, or a cozy reading nook bathed in natural light.
The tropical garden is a hidden sanctuary, filled with local plants, playful art installations, and a private pool that invites you to slow down and recharge. Whether you're lounging on the swing, or sipping your morning coffee with birdsong in the background, there's a natural peace here that contrasts beautifully with the lively city just outside the gate.
The home’s old soul — reflected in its architecture, wooden shutters, and open design — blends seamlessly with curated, modern touches. It's both authentic and surprising, full of texture and soul, and designed for guests who appreciate places with personality.
In short: Villa Artavista is more than a stay — it’s an experience.
