We’re proud of where we come from and love welcoming people to experience the beauty and calm of our island. Hosting is more than a service for us—it’s about sharing a piece of who we are, and making sure guests feel at home, relaxed, and connected to the real Azores.

Why they chose this property

We didn’t just choose this neighborhood—we were born into it. We both grew up on the same street, and this house has been in our family for generations. Maia is quiet, authentic, and surrounded by nature, with volcanic rock pools just steps away and walking trails that hug the coastline. The sound of the ocean is part of daily life here. We chose to stay in Maia because it’s peaceful, rooted in tradition, and still full of small, everyday wonders.

Our home combines modern comfort with deep family history. The house has been fully renovated, but it still holds the warmth and spirit of the generations who lived here before. What makes it special is the rooftop terrace where you can see the ocean and feel the sea breeze, and the fact that you’re just 30 meters from the natural pools of Maia. It’s cozy, thoughtfully designed, and deeply connected to the place and people around it.
