I chose this neighborhood because Summerwood feels like a quiet, nature-filled escape just a short drive from Houston. Nestled between Lake Houston and the Greens Bayou Wetlands, the community is brimming with lush trees, scenic walking trails, and peaceful water features—perfect for summer strolls or kayaking adventures .
One of my favorite things about this area in Humble is the sunny charm of the two on-site lakes—Lake Anne and Lake Meredith—along with the community pools, splash pad, tennis courts, volleyball sand pit, and clubhouses. It creates a resort-like vibe right at home, especially great on warm summer weekends .
Summerwood is more than just beautiful—it’s friendly. It’s a tight-knit community with a small‑town feel: neighbors look out for each other, kids play freely on sidewalks, and it's common to borrow a cup of sugar or help a neighbor with a project .
Finally, it’s incredibly convenient: located inside Beltway 8 and near West Lake Houston Parkway, residents can get to downtown Houston in about 15 minutes via the tollway, or hop to IAH within minutes .
