We loved this house and the location. Loved getting to use the trolley as our mode of transportation. It had everything we needed and the owner is very nice and helpful.
Great house and neighborhood near all major amenities (cafes, restaurants, and attractions). We enjoyed our cup of coffee on the porch and walking to cafes and restaurants. James is a great host and resource for the city and its history. We loved our stay!
Both the property and the owner were great! The home is very nice, more spacious that you might think, conveniently located and in a nice neighborhood. James, the owner, was very nice and easy to deal with.
What an interesting property. We have never stayed in a shotgun house before. It lived up to it name. The decor was wonderful with a fireplace (lovely covers) in every room. The beds were comfortable and the towels soft and plentiful. But, best of all was our attentive host, James. He made us feel welcome and full of stories and ideas for our stay. The property is close to the to a major trolley line for a fun ride downtown. We did not, nor need, a car to explore. I'd come back!!
Quaint property in a quiet district of downtown New Orleans. The property was clean, spacious, and had everything needed for our stay. The owner was very communicative and pleasant. Highly recommend.

Great location!
This home was so convenient for our short visit to see our daughter at college. The owner was very friendly and the house was super clean. Would definitely stay there again.
The house was clean and the owner was easy to communicate with.
It was just a few blocks from the St Charles street car line so getting around was easy. Would definitely recommend.
We stayed at this beautiful home on a trip to New Orleans to drop our daughter off at college. The space was very comfortable for our family of four and impeccably clean. The porch was a nice place to sit to enjoy the quiet neighborhood and the owner was responsive and friendly.
The host was very friendly and accommodating. He communicated well before and throughout the stay making sure we had what we needed. The place is one half of a duplex. It is an older property but met our needs and we had a great time.
Clean! - this place was very clean - so clean that even the blinds were not dusty. We stayed for four nights with 6 people - 4 adults and two kids. Safe neighborhood and close to the street car.
Shotgun house, very clean on a nice street in the area we wanted to stay. All worked very well and was just as advertised, and as the photos suggested. Check in was easy and the owners lived next door. We didn't have any issues but if we did, I'm confident they would have be resolved quickly. We didn't have a car but parking would not have been a problem as there were plenty of street spaces.

Happy
We got here last evening and we are well pleased. Just as depicted and in a charming old neighborhood. We will return. James was great and very helpful. CLEAN and COMFORTABLE. We are 5 people traveling with 3 generations and it meets all our needs.
Very convenient uptown location near the park, universities, the streetcar line, and restaurants in the riverbend and Maple street areas. Classic New Orleans shotgun style house with high ceilings and pocket doors. Note that you will have to walk through bedrooms to reach the kitchen at the back of the house. Ideal for families. Comfortable and clean.

Beautiful home, great location, but HOT
The home is beautiful, in a great Uptown location. The owner was very good about correspondence, and I'm sure he will quickly fix the A/C problem. We were not able to get the home temperature below 80. I highly recommend this property as long as the A/C is working!

Debb, thanks for taking the time to leave this review! We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed the home, its location, and your interaction with the homeowner, but we apologize for the issue with the air conditioning! The owner would have been more than happy to address any issues while you were still in residence. Guest comfort and satisfaction are his top priorities, and he appreciates every opportunity to make things right. Thanks again. Best, the Evolve Team
Good location. It is in an older, but conveniently located NOLA residential neighborhood. The house is a traditional double shotgun style, common in uptown NOLA. It is similar to the houses my wife and I grew up in. It was clean and well furnished. AC, etc all worked well. We had no problem parking all week right in front of the home. The owner lives in an apartment behind the rental and his sister lives on the other side of the double.
