What a wonderful place. - surrounded by God’s beauty...the fresh cool air, the lush green, a cabin with every touch of creative comforts. There’s a special place here - the space to reflect on life. Just to sit and look out the windows, hear the creek and bask in stillness. This is a complete break for me from a busy daily work schedule and athletic endeavors and I can feel myself recharging. Wish I had a longer time than 4 days but I am soaking up every minute I have. Jim and Jack, you have a real treasure here. Loved cooking out last night at the firepit. Your cure and thoughtfulness is evident every where you look. LOTSA MOOSE ROCKS!!!

We love it here! We are hikers and being so close To Mt Mitchell with it’s many trails is a plus. We also liked the artwork on and around the cabin. The front porch is great for breakfast and just to sit in this peaceful setting. John We had two nice weeks in your cabin. It is small but clean and for somebody who hikes all day and comes home tired, it was just perfect. We were especially fond of the grilling area - a nice touch! The carvings and decorations are well worth shipping back from Burma. We will be in touch as we are always coming up from Florida and spending Christmas in North Carolina. Lillian

Relaxing

We went to this property for our anniversary and to just get away from everything, couldn't have picked a better spot with mother nature suppling the only noise we wanted the creek falls right outside the cabin. The leaves were changing so the artist of mother nature changed daily. We just relaxed and hardly ever left the area, we had a fire most nights. We would really like to come back and have a chance to take a dip in the pool beneath the falls. Thanks again!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Our family had a wonderful weekend getaway. The cabin is small, but well thought-out, and we had everything we needed. It was cozy for me, my husband and our two little boys. The outdoor space is gorgeous, and our boys loved playing in the stream on the property. Easy drive to downtown Burnsville and Mt Mitchell state park. Would recommend to others.

We Did Not Want To Leave!!

My husband and I spent a long weekend in this adorable cabin. We had everything we needed and more. We went to sleep to the sound of the water from the creek on the property. We cooked our dinner in the outdoor area filled with eclectic decor. We relaxed by the fire pit beside the creek, The covered porch was where we spent most of our time while at the cabin. The tin roof during a rain storm was awesome!! This cabin is perfect for a couple looking for a place to get away from it all. The owner was great to work with and we enjoyed meeting him. Awesome Little Cabin!

We had everything we needed ! There was so much attention to detail! We loved everything about this Creek side cabin in the woods! The outside areas were the best! Sleeping with the windows open while listening to the lullaby of the creek was so relaxing. Sitting on the porch at night while it’s raining on the tin roof..... it was all perfect ! Our host greeted us with such hospitality. I highly recommend this little piece of paradise !

What a perfect little cabin in the woods!

We had a wonderful time at this perfect little cabin in the woods. It was a little rainy and windy during our stay so we didn't get to spend as much time in the outdoor space as we would have liked but the cabin was so cozy and comfortable. Jack and Jim have everything you need and lots of extra touches that make this a special place. The town of Burnsville is super cute too with shops and eateries. Thanks for a great weekend getaway!

Thank you for our stay at the cabin - it’s beautiful - and we enjoyed looking at all the different artifacts throughout the premises. Best Mother Daughter getaway ever!

Staying at Lotsa Moose Lodge was fabulous! Backing right up to the Pisgah National Forest was so beautiful and peaceful. My daughter and the puppies enjoyed it too. The mountain stream was a place of serenity and gave me and my daughter some priceless memories and quality time I will never forget. We loved the fire pit and covered ‘camp’ area for outdoor grilling. The puppies thought they were in heaven! They have asked me three times to go back now....lol Ingrid G, Knoxville TN

PERFECT getaway for Mom, Dad, 4 sons and the dog

A last minute planned trip turned into one of the best decisions ever, with the warm welcome from our host to start us off. The entire cabin complex, campsite, creeks and many trails were as incredible as we could have ever dreamed. There was no detail left out, from the picnic table ready with table cloth, kindling already picked up and waiting...what a treat! Our four - yes four BOYS - loved exploring the creeks and could not get enough of climbing on the boulders and just “being boys”. A great family hike towards Mt Celo was excellent exercise for all! We enjoyed a daytrip down the French Broad River and experienced class 2&3 rapids as a family. (About one hour drive to Nantahalla Outdoor Center and Rafting USA). Thanks for a fabulous stay! We enjoyed our short stay very much. Hop to come again on our next holiday period to the USA. We have taken these happy memories home to Sri Lanka with us.The pleasant surroundings of the cabin were very familiar to us and therefore we felt at home living here. We landed at 230pm to our most awesome pleasure at this quaint and cozy location. Everything was exactly what we were hoping for much needed R&R. Kyle being a video engineer for ESPN and NBC, never gets a weekend away so it was paramount I found a perfect getaway. I have to say the place EXCEEDED my expectations. The atmosphere was complete with swaying tree branches, rustling leaves, smells of earthy pest moss and the rushing creek just yards away. We’ve already spent the afternoon exploring the creeks finding a huge snail, a perfect little frog and the most beautiful bright orange salamander. We are not quite sure if it is a river salamander but it sure brought lots of excitement for our eight year old daughter. It’s only our first night and we are eagerly anticipating our next adventures. We woke up early the next day and headed to Mt Mitchell, stopped by the visitors center, then hiked to the summit. It was a very foggy day so we couldn’t see the views, so we took a hike down the yellow/white path. It was perfect weather for hiking, cool and overcast and the woods were so dense it didn’t really matter. If you want a great workout that’s the trail to take. We went about two miles and headed back just in time before the rain started up, so we decided to go back to the cabin for a nice grilled dinner and a UNO cardgame marathon. Thanks to our hosts for making the place so cozy and having cards here just in case of rain!! The UNO deck provided our 8 year old with many laughs. We hope to make this an annual place to come and visit. Perfect destination for souls who seek much needed rejuvenation. Sincerely, Kyle, Rebecca, Kiko and Levi.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!

If you have a simple party of two adults and (up to two children) THIS is the place for you!!! We had the MOST fantastic time and one of the best VRBO experiences I have had to date. The place is the cutest and MOST quaint little cabin. Truly I struggled to write this review for purely selfish reasons as I am hoping this gem doesn't get TOO popular so that we can come as often as we want. The nearby river was so much fun and we explored our first whole day just on the property. We were made VERY welcome and the atmosphere was just PERFECT. I would give this a 10 STAR ********** Rating if I could!! Thanks to our hosts for providing everything we needed for a wonderful stay!! Just bring you and your favorite foodies and you will not regret this stay!! Ciao
