About the host

Host profile image
Welcome, guests! I invite you to stay at my home in this beautiful corner of the Cape. I was born about a mile from the house in Chatham, where my ancestors go back about 13 or so generations. I have a wealth of local knowledge which I love sharing with others, and it's one of my favorite parts of being a host. I work close by at a sailing nonprofit, and I love helping people get out on the water. Thank you for considering staying at my house, and I hope to welcome you soon.

Why they chose this property

My favorite thing about this neighborhood is how it's so close to the highway and shopping, but tucked away in nature, with trees all around, and the beautiful and serene river out the window. The water is brackish, so there are amazing sightings of freshwater and saltwater birds like egrets, osprey, great blue herons, etc. The trails in the conservation land against the road are also quite lovely, and the meadows are planted with all different native wildflowers. I invite you to stay and explore!

What makes this property unique

The Cape can feel quite busy and crowded in the summer, but this area feels like a tranquil oasis. The woods and views are so relaxing, and the deck and patio are perfect for unwinding and recharging. The art is all special and carefully placed, and the rooms are so bright and sunny. The cozy loft upstairs is adorable and great for kids, or friends to have a cozy conversation. I love this house, and I hope you love it too.
